Hi all, I'm new to the Pac.

I have a bit of a problem as my 60 split side of the 3rd row seat doesn't fold in order to stow it. I don't have automatic/power stowing seats. The 40 side works just fine, as does folding down the headrests. However, when I go to pull the strap to fold the seat and stow the 60 side, it seems like the strap is already completely pulled? The strap does not go in nor pull out any further and the seat will not budge. Any ideas what the problem is and how I could fix it? Or if it would be covered under something other than basic warranty (it's at 62k miles)? Thanks!

Sounds like it either pulled loose from the release mechanism or it is jammed.

Off the top of my head, look at the length relative to the working strap. If is lower, it has pulled loose and vice versa. I don't know how you can release the floor latches manually - does anyone know how to remove the seat cushion and then is it look possible see the strap/mechanism? The way the Pacifica seats fold (compared to the "stadium seating" option on the T & C) I don't think you can easily see the underside of the seat after unlatching.

Just be careful if doing your own work -- I suspect those latches have strong springs to withstand collision forces.

Good luck -- other than a dealer (who you should ask up front if they have seen this problem before they start working at $100/hour) a collision shop may have some ideas.

Happened to me but I have the electric 3rd row seats. It got jammed and to protect itself from damage it disabled it. Took it to dealer and pulled jam out and they had to reprogram/reset the seat module.
