Folks,

I know we can find the manufacturing date on the sticker on the driver's side, but is there a way to "look it up" using the VIN? I ask this for couple reasons:
1) I can avoid driving from dealership to dealership trying to find the most recently manufactured vehicle.
2) The reason I am trying to find the "most recently" manufactured vehicle is hoping that it will have as fewer issues as possible AND it is sitting in a dealership lot for fewer days.

Where I live, we don't have heavy volume PacHy dealers like in California or other warmer states, so, these babies have generally been on a lot for longer than usual. So, I prefer not to buy a "new 2018" which has been on the lot for 6-8 months and manufactured before a year or more. I might as well buy a 2017 used for that, lol

Hopefully my thought process here is reasonable, any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks!

Do you mean the 1016 on this one as being the date? https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=2C4RC1N75JR359166

I don’t believe that’s the date. Earlier Limited 2018s include AST without the $995 charge for it. When I was thinking about a 2018 earlier this year, that was the easiest way differentiate between an earlier and later 2018. I don’t believe they were charging the $995 for Limiteds that were built in October 2017.

Yes, 10/16/2017 is how I would read that date...
If so it is close but not exact. My PacHy Limited was built in November 2017 and the number on the window sticker is 1111 but the build month and day on the driver's door edge is 1108.

On my September 2016 build date 2017 Pacifica gas van, the last set of four digit numbers above the bar code is 0902 , which I assume is month and day. The four digits may be below the letters S.L. on some window stickers. I would still check the door sticker before purchase in case a van was made at the end of one year for the next model year. The threads below are about 2019s.

Sorry for sounding ignorant, but I am looking at a 2019 PacHy Limited and here is the VIN: 2C4RC1N72KR594450 (attached a pdf of the sticker)
Am I interpreting the manufacture date right from the window sticker as Nov/26/2018? Please help!!

You attached the PDF for decoding VINs instead of the window sticker. The URL for the window sticker is https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=2C4RC1N72KR594450 and yes I would read the date as 1126 or November 26, 2018. If you compare it against the door sticker it might be a few days different.
