We have had several Chrysler minivans over the years and have been pleased with most. 2 1/2 years ago we purchased a new 2017 Pacifica. It currently has a little over 29K miles on it. Out of all of the Chrysler minivans we have owned this one has had the most problems.

PRO'S: Very good ride and drive-ability.
Exterior and interior looks.
Stow N' Go (the main reason we buy the Chrysler minivans)
Dealer service

CON'S: Had to have all four tires replaced due to a noise that was finally attributed to the tires after weeks of troubleshooting.
Right rear passenger slider would not close except by manually closing. Much troubleshooting time.
Both headlights and one rear taillight burned out and had to be replaced (very unusual).
Digital display screen went completely blank. Had to have whole unit replaced.
Recently the battery went defective and had to be replaced (2 1/2 years on a new battery?)

We had some other disappointments right after we purchased the vehicle which is "shame on us" for not being more diligent. We just assumed that the vehicle had a CD player, auto dimming headlights, and rain sensing wipers. It came with none of these. Our previous T&C Limited came with all of these so we just "assumed" that this limited did also...surprise, surprise. It also came with the optional vacuum system which is useless for us. In 2 1/2 years we may have used it once!

I'm not sure some of these problems were due to this being the first year for the remodel or we got a Friday or Monday assembled van. Whatever we are not pleased with this vehicle and will probably go with another manufacturer if anyone ever comes out with the Stow N' Go concept.

does is comes with a DVD player? The DVD player will play your CDs.

About your issues... I already had to replace my two batteries. Stop/Start is not working any more. This is my first Chrysler and I'm not impressed at all with its reliability. From your PROS, agree with all but the last one. I tried two dealers in my zone and both of them are really bad trained to handle our Pacificas.

Whereabouts do you live? I think nowadays, 3 years is about all you can expect from a car battery, but that depends on the climate and driving patterns.

I found the feature availability list was very useful in figuring out which features come with which models. Here's the 2017 one: http://chryslermedia.iconicweb.com/mediasite/specs/2017_CH_Pacifica_FAamnrgsu78bjf9hqiudnkhr9ksf.pdf

I've heard the vaccuum sucks... literally. Then others say it's great. I'd think a cheapo battery operated one would be better anyway.

You can figure out the actual day it was built by the sticker on the door. It's been posted many times before on here.

Actual day, or just month and year. My 2018 PacHy shows 07-18 on the sticker. I assumed that meant July of 2018.
Otherwise, if that is the day, how can I know whether it was built in 2017 or 2018?

Hello tpe331djc,

We're sorry to hear you're having such a tough time with your Pacifica. Feel free to send us a direct message as we'd be glad to discuss this in more depth.
