On all vehicles I have owned with memory seating pushing the unlock keyfob button will put the seat in that drivers position as well as adjust other features set. On our Pacifica Limited that does not happen, but if I squeeze in the seat, which is in the mid position and push start, the seat goes back to my position. Can anyone tell me just what should happen when the unlock button is pushed? It seems to be a terrible design for a short wife and tall man!

Hi cjlech. Welcome to the forum! The seat should be moving to the appropriate position when unlocked with your fob. Are you sure that you set your fob to your seat position? If I remember correctly, you do this by hitting the lock button on the fob immediately after storing your seat position. There's also a setting in the Uconnect menu called "Personal Settings Linked to Key Fob". Make sure that's turned on.

Yes, the fob has been linked and the settings are linked! If fob was not linked, I doubt the seat would move when I push start button. I think I will take it to another dealer!

Hi cjlech,
You can find more information in your Owner’s Manual https://www.mopar.com/chrysler/en-us/care/knowledge-center.html under “Driver Memory Seat – If Equipped” and “Linking and Unlinking The Remote Keyless Entry Key Fob To Memory” on Pages 73-74. If you find these settings are not working optimally, I would be happy to assist you with making you an appointment at a dealer if needed.

Car spent another day at a dealer after I discovered the memory operates as per the manual if the easy-exit setting is off. The dealer has told me there is a flash/update which is not yet available which is to address the remaining problem. This has been ongoing since the first of October so I am not holding my breath!

Hi cjlech,

Sorry to hear about this! There is a TSB currently released addressing memory seat concerns on some vehicles:

"NUMBER: 08-092-16
GROUP: Electrical
DATE: December 06, 2016

SUBJECT:
Flash: Memory Seat Module Diagnostic And System Enhancements

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may describe that the driver or passenger seat, or both, do not operate correctly. If the engine is turned off while using easy entry, easy exit, memory recall, and Stow N Go assist, the seat movement might stop and reverse."

If this is similar to the concerns you are experiencing please PM our page with your VIN and I'd be happy to check if this TSB applies to your vehicle.

I appreciate your concern for my problem!
With the easy exit/enter feature selected in settings, the seat will go to the exit/midway position for driver 1 as designed. Then when driver 2 tries to unlock with key fob or door handle, nothing happens as far as memory settings. Only can unlock the door. If he pushes setting 2 on door or squeezes into the seat and starts vehicle, the settings are recalled for driver 2. Driver 2's position is all the way to the rear so I understand the seat should not move for that exit.
The manual clearly states that each key fob should have a driving position and an exit position, but driver 2 on my vehicle has no control from the key fob with the easy exit/enter feature selected, other than unlocking the doors. Dealers have had the vehicle for a day on three different occasions and do not seem to be aware of or the update you refer to does not cover my problem.

Hi cjlech,

This TSB does apply to your VIN. Let us know if you need any help scheduling an appointment to have the flash done at your dealership!

The dealer you use is not up to date then. I had the same issue and had mine flashed and it works great.

Two dealers involved so far! One in Indiana and one in Texas. Hopefully will get the problem resolved!

The dealer in Texas is probably my dealer.... Don Davis in Arlington, TX as they have mine in and 2 Chrysler engineering reps came last week to go over all the programing issues, fixes that the 17 Pacifica needs.

I would appreciate you advising Allen Samuels in Aransas Pass, Texas of this TSB as they had my vehicle 10 days ago. They were to advise me when the update was available.

I spent another half day at the dealer as he performed all updates! They advised the vehicle is working as do others on their lot. Therefore I would surmise that if one expects to have two memory seat positions available from the keyfob or the keyless entry, you will be sadly disappointed, as I am. I still find it hard to believe that anyone would design a system to function like this!
If more details are desired, review my previous posts.

Mine works fine, but I don't use the easy exit feature. I think turning that off sounds like your only option for now.

I have now discovered that if I set my driving position an inch or so forward of the rear stop [which I do not like], that the seat will go to the rear for exit! The wife's settings [at forward stop] still operates normally on exit also.
This leads to the conclusion that it is impossible to have the driving position set at the opposite extremes and still have the easy exit function operate as it should!
Hope this helps others with this problem!

Actually, they say no update for mine........can you check the VIN# 2C4RC1GG7HR572739

the dealer says they can't duplicate it, but I have stated over and over it does it maybe once in 10 times or it may do it 5 times in a row.

Hi Damoncaravanman,

On my end, it looks like the TSB applies to your vehicle. Is your vehicle currently at your local dealership or do you have an appointment scheduled? I'd be happy to follow up with them for you.

It has been at the dealer since 12/16/16 and a Marvin w/Chrysler Cares gave me case # 30693144. Suppose to have the area rep out at the dealer today as they do not have the fixes for such items as the "memory seat, saying it does not show an update for my vin, that I already have the updated version"; the window issue that is intermittent that they say they can't duplicate and do not see a fix; and then the outside temp issue where it reads too high again they say they do not see a fix. So, we shall see what the area rep has to say.
