I just want to point out that the Pacifica has finally managed to beat all its competitors in the minivan segment for this month (even though the Dodge GC still outsold it for total year to date sales).
Both Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna seem to be struggling in front of the sheer dominance of FCA products.

Only Dodge GC, Pacifica and Sienna have broken past 100,000 sales for this year. Will see if Odyssey will make it in December.

Impressive, FCA. That said, when I drive around so-Cal, and especially my neck of the woods, all I see are Odysseys and Siennas. So popular out here. When I do see that infrequent Pac, it sticks out to me like Rudolph's red nose.

A week ago I so 3 Pacificas at the same time looking at IKEA parking lot from the second floor. Haven't seen a single PacHy on the streets yet.
The FCA sales dominance partially explained by the fleet sales.

When I go to the Chrysler site the Pacifica page defaults to the 2017 model. (Well, it's still technically 2017 but only for another 22 days.) What this suggests is that there is still an inventory of 2017 vehicles sitting on lots, which unfortunately means that demand hasn't exceeded supply.

Understandably, 2017 was a first-year model and some people might have been hesitant to buy into that. Perhaps 2018 will normalize sales somewhat.

(Personally, I was never a fan of introducing 'next year' models early in the fall as a sales practice. Not just with the auto industry but in general. If 'year' labels are to have meaning they should match up with the actual calendar year. And yes, I am a lot of fun at parties.)

The monthly sales numbers released by the manufacturers are sales of new vehicles regardless of marketing model year. That Pacifica number includes both 2017 and 2018 model years. I've never worn a lamp shade at a party.
