Well..... it only took 3 days to realize.....

I bought the car 3 hours away via email. Picked it up and never realized that the chrome moldings were on the drivers side, but missing on the passenger side!

An odd thing for sure! Must have been in trim around plant closing time! :smile2:

I've emailed the selling dealer, should be easy to handle.

Same thing happened on my Pacifica...called the dealer 3hrs away and said take it to a Chrysler dealer near me and let them know if they have any issues with putting the molding on. The real frustration was scheduling an appointment with the dealer near me. They clearly use some national appointment scheduling phone service that was a waste of my time.

Orrya..... did they mail you the moldings or did you just do everything at your local dealer? Did you get a set of 4, or just the missing ones? The part number is actually for a set of 4, on the parts side it doesn't appear that you can just order one side.

I have no problem installing them myself..... the selling dealer is also telling me to handle it at a local dealer. Honestly, I would rather them order the moldings and just ship them to me or I could just pick them up next time I am in the area

FYI what usually happens in these cases is if the plant runs out of a non critical part they attach a tag to the car for the selling dealer letting them know of the part shortage and the part number. The Dealer is then supposed to order the part/parts put the car aside and when they come in cycle the car through service and install them as a warranty repair with a special factory shortage code. Obviously the Dealer screwed up.
