As the title says, anyone know most up to date version of radio software for UCONNECT 8.4 2019 Hybrid ?

I am going to request my dealer remove VE2 safety update (which was installed without my consent).
At same time would like them to upgrade to most up to date version of radio software.
They are pretty clueless so I'm going to print out exactly what should be installed.

Thanks

I'm curious what you object to regarding the VE2 safety update?

never had issue that update was supposed to resolve

Since update multiple issues:

Screen resets randomly. Never had this before

Now get the "Remote is locked out while in rear media" error. Never had this before

Interestingly backup camera will now freeze and then screen turns blue. Never had this before

USB hub (topmost, not the one adjacent to DVD player) is now dead. Worked prior

There is other wierd UCONNECT behaivor since the update. So, I want it uninstalled.

I don't know what the latest version is, but they probably won't be able to remove the update. It's a safety recall so they're obligated to apply the update regardless of whether or not you wanted them to in the first place. Most automotive computers and smart devices in general don't allow flashing an older version of firmware/software. I would pull fuses F76 and F55 at the same time for a couple minutes, replace the fuses, and let the van go to sleep for 30 minutes to see if this fixes the problem.

The problem I have with the Uconnect update system is, it only goes by VIN number. My original radio was updated to the latest software, then replaced under warranty. So as far as the Uconnect update site is concerned, my VIN has been updated. Chrysler Cares and my dealership cannot seem to figure out how to get it updated. I'm going to give my dealership one more shot at updating it when my Battery Coolant heater comes in and i bring it in for installation! lol

The Uconnect website should still tell you the current Uconnect software version for your vehicle and allow you to download to your computer. When you unzip the file and move only the actual update to a clean USB thumb drive you can update your vehicle radio. The in-vehicle screen may show you the same version numbers for the vehicle and the thumb drive but I don’t believe it will stop you if you answer yes to going forward with the update.

Most up to date radio "application version" is 39.5 ; verified this with customer rep at UCONNECT
I have 28.4
Interesting that website above states I am 'up to date' and no additional upgrade is available.
See photos below

Whatever happened with your update? I see that drive.uconnect.com says my VIN is up-to-date when it isn't. Exploring support doesn't even allow me to enter anything prior to 2020 for a model year.

Hi, my situation was my Uconnect was updated then replaced. They dealer did not update the new module when the installed it. They did eventually do the Y25 update. That updated my radio to the latest software available at the time. I was told that update must be done by service in the shop.

Hello,

Thank you for grabbing our attention on this. We do not recommend using the Drive Uconnect site at the moment as it is not updated. Should you wish to discuss this further, please send us a PM.

Don't listen to that page.. Chrysler and uconnect refuse to post updates for us normal users for some stupid reason. There is actually a newer update than 39.5 out now.. It's 40.1 now and they are telling me to take it to the dealer again.. Swear.. they can't just post the updates like other car companies..

Wanted to see if anyone got their Uconnect updated to 40.1 yet? If so, any experience or feedback from yet?
Honestly, I have stopped caring as much. After my radio was replaced my mopar.com account is totally hosed. I had a Sirius XM person tell me it was because the dealer didn't pair my radio properly. The dealer refused to finish the work without being paid another $160+ labor. I filed a complaint.. Chrysler's "complaint handler" basically told me the same thing. That I'm SOL even though the dealer didn't complete their work. Seems like every time a dealer touches these vans and it's not a mechanical fix things go south.

Truth be told I'm debating messaging some of the people on the Jeep and RAM forums and asking them if they could just give me the updates since they clearly have access to them and publish an entire "how to" about how to do it.(it really isn't that hard frankly). At least then if it screws up I have no one to blame but myself. Don't get why they simply won't publicly post the updates. We are in the year 2023 and they seem to be incapable of writing an updater that updates the radio without the worry of failure. Even a lot of motherboard manufacturers have ways of recovering from bad flashes. Like seriously.. load a bootloader does a checksum on the update/system partitions and applies the update. Does the update fail? Roll back to another partition. Update corrupt? Roll back to the other partition. A/B updating and other things. Should be super easy to recover from a bad flash if something goes wrong. #_# and sorry /rant.. they frustrate me to no end..
