Hi All

After driving a 2008 Chrysler Grand Voyager Ltd (T&C in the US) for the last 7 years, i just signed the contract for my first Chrysler Pacifica 2017 Limited with just about 2'000 miles on the clock.
In about 3 weeks i will be able to get the keys to my "new" Car, so still plenty of time to read trough this great Forum.

Best wishes from Switzerland
Tino

Congratulations on your new car and welcome to the forum. I assume there are no approved dealerships for Chrysler in your country. How are you getting it? Using an importer or from a friend...?? Please post pictures whenever you’re in possession of the vehicle.

There is a few dealer specialised in importing US Cars. But the prices for the cars are quite high. I found mine from a car dealer importing all kind of cars. The price was way better then the other 30 Pacificas currently on the swiss market. Only bad thing, the seller has no clue about the car and i had to do all the research by myself. They even tried to sell it as a 19 model instead of a 17 :frown2:

Pictures will follow.

Congratulations! Is you Pacifica American or Russian variety?

What's the difference?

I know my Pacifica is a Canada model and seller told me that it was made for the Arabian Market (Emirates), but they have no clue anyway. I've checked the Navigation (i will get all the EU Cards on it) and everything was set for China. So i assume it was predicted to go to the chinese market.

All Pacificas are made in Canada. As far as I know, Russia is the only country in Europe where they are officially sold.

The differences are mostly the regional adaptations- amber rear turn signals with separate bulbs, navigation maps, FM radio frequencies, translated entertainment system interface. The SiriusXM is probably deleted. The Russian version adds the airplane type fold out tables for the second row passengers not present in the North American market.

Just got a call from the dealer that my Pacifica finally will be ready for pickup next Wednesday. So one more week and will be able to provide you with some pics of my "new" Van.

Beautiful van in a beautiful setting!

About the only appearance difference I see is that my US spec version has a red side marker light by the rear wheel.

After 2 days of driving and checking out the car i'm still more than happy, Tried to find out whats same/different between mine and a"US-Limited" version:

I do have
  • all driving assistance systems
  • heating and cooling seats
  • heated steering wheel
  • 18 inch wheels (alltough other Ltd sold in Switzerland normally come with 20 inch wheels)
  • Uconnect Theater with working EU Navigation and Radio (means i can also enter even frequences like 102.8)
  • Hands free door and Liftgate
What i don't have and there is one big surprise
  • Roof Rails
  • vacuum (there is a spare tire instead which i anyway prefer)
  • NO STOW AND GO in the second row.
Alltough i hardly ever used Stow and Go in my T&C, and after reading many reviews about the new Pacifica, i never expected not to have the Stow and Go in my car. For sure it's my own fault that i didn't check it beforehand, but it was out of my mind because i was sure that only hybrid are missing it because of space was needed for batteries. I remember a review on planetdodge where they also stated that all normal Pacifica despite the trim level have second row Stow and Go.

Attached a Photo. There is still space to stow some stuff, but not for the entire seat :-(

Are there any non Hybrid Pacifica's in the US without the Stow and Go as well?

Except for the Stow and Go all looks good and i hope i will have much fun with this great Van

Wish mine had the fold-down tray in the back of the seats.
