hey, so just introduced myself on the new member forum and wanted to post this really strange Uconnect climate control issue on my brand new 2021 PacHy Limited S which I just took delivery today with 41 miles on the odometer (built 12-2020). I traded in a very similarly equipped 2018 PacHy Limited with just over 34000mi for it, and only had 1x temporary climate problem (will elaborate in a sec). So, tried to turn on heat for the very first time through the Uconnect 5 10.1 and the only options for temperature were LO and HI, which would jump back and forth if toggling up or down on the buttons, and even setting the slider in the middle value on the screen would work but then revert to HI or LO depending on the direction you were sliding. either way, there was ZERO heat coming from the climate even after driving for 30min. fan works, and the position settings works, AC button works, etc. - but the SYNC button could not be toggled off and adjusting passenger temperature through buttons did the same thing. even the rear climate on HI was not blowing any warm air... this is really the strangest part because the front and rear systems have separate heaters.
later today, after doing my first break-in drive for ~30miles and noticing no changes to climate either for another 30minutes, I decided to do a factory reset of the Uconnect system to see if that would help anything. turns out, the behavior is the same for the temp selection at LO or HI, but now all of sudden it is blowing warm/hot air on the HI setting (and actually got hot to the max heat you would expect)... but still nothing in between.
the question I have is, could this be related to some battery jump start or something off the dealer lot taking time for Uconnect to reload settings etc or just maybe the very first time climate was even turned on in this car? the reason I ask is my other 2018 PacHy limited once had a bad 12V battery and need a jump start which caused the Uconnect to have to completely reset and I remember also only being able to select HI or LO for temp and eventually went away. I am currently only on my 3rd longer drive today since delivery, and it is charging on a L2 outside but maybe this will resolve itself during the next few trips/24hrs?
