I also get the friends and family discount.I think the most important thing when negotiating with dealers is to know what you're talking about. Don't ask them for their best price. Instead, tell them that you're willing to pay invoice minus half the holdback (not including incentives). Just using that terminology is probably enough for them to realize that you know what you're talking about. If they say they can't do it, just tell them that you know of plenty of other dealers that will, so have a nice day. It's quite likely that they won't let you leave.
For example my price without incentives would be $44,994 (FFP) when normal MSRP is $47,480.Absolutely! Just negotiate the price before you place the order, and know exactly which incentives you qualify for beforehand. Not sure how the friends and family discount works.
