I just let go of my Honda Odyssey 2003 van to upgrade to the 2017 Pacifica. It was definitely time for a new car, and I had been determined to go with another Odyssey. Mine had been very reliable, and the Odyssey year after year gets the highest safety rating of all the minivans.
However, after test driving the 2016 Odyssey and the 2017 Pacifica, I actually changed my mind! The Pacifica has a much more comfortable driving feel than the Odyssey. Probably due to the independent rear suspension. It feels more like driving a luxury sedan than a van. The interior styling and electronic interfaces were far superior in the Pacifica. It really feels like they thought of everything! I love the ease of the Stow n Go seat system.
It will be interesting to see what the new 2017 Odyssey is like. Have you had an opportunity to test drive a Pacifica yet?
