Hi,
I'm a newbie here, looking for information on what to look for in a new Pacifica & what to avoid. My Toyota van was totaled recently after being rear-ended in an accident (no injures thank God) & the Pacifica has the safety features I'd like & the Stow & Go seats.

I'm just starting to make contact via the internet with area dealers & search out rebates & financing incentives. I like to know what I qualify for before talking to a salesman.
I'm hoping someone here can share their knowledge.

There are few options shown on new car stickers that I can't find details on. One is the Customer Preferred Package 25P. What is that?
Another is the T3 / L3 Zero Evap Vehicle Tracking. Can't find it in the Pacifica brochure or on Google.

I really like all the safety features in the Advanced Safety Tec package. Have you found any problems with any of these features?

On the rebates & financing, are they either get the rebate & no financing deal or 0% financing & no rebates?

I'd really like to hear what you have to say especially in you bought from a dealer near Tampa, FL or north of Tampa. (I live about 45 mi north of Tampa).

Many thanks!

I never figured out what the Customer Prefered Package was. I think it's just a label they put on a set of standard options. Love to know if anyone has figured it out.

The SafetyTec package is a must! The only thing that's silly is the parking assist. I've tried to use it a few times and still haven't figured it out.

Also, get on the website and look at all the options and see what you want. Accessories like running boards, wheel choices, etc.

Read the extended warranty threads to make sure you know what's available and how cheap you can get it without paying twice as much at the local dealer.

And most importantly, if you don't care about the wheels, get the 20" set and then sell them to me :). I'll trade you my 17"....

Shipping a set of wheels to Dalla would probably cost more than the wheels!

Anyway, I stopped by a local dealer & picked up a brochure & asked about the 25P package. Its for the power lift gate & doors with the hands free, kick under the bumper feature. Not real sure I'd need it that much.
Forgot to ask about the T3 / L3 Zero Evap Vehicle Tracking....

Cheers!

One set of rebates is either/or: You can get either $1,500 OR $500 plus special financing (i.e. 0% for 36 mo).

Certain other rebates do stack and are not affected by your choice, such as the $1,000 Sam's Club rebate. There are limits, in most cases you can only use one TDM (targeted direct mail) offer and I want to say that Sam's Club counts as a TDM but I'm not sure.

Nah, you can ship wheels and tires for less than $200...

I wouldn't have ordered the handsfree door option, but it's in the van that I bought, and I've used it several times already. I'm glad I have it. I'd say it's a nice to have, but not a deal breaker if it isn't there.

You get a discount for being Sams Club member? Did you buy through Sams or just mention being a member?
Any Sam's club member can print out a rebate coupon good for $1000 off a Pacifica. If you're not a member, you just need to sign up online for $45. There's no reason for anyone to buy a Pacifica without a Sam's coupon.

I agree on the handsfree sliding doors/liftgate. Originally I thought I wanted it, but I when I discovered that you just have to press a button on the door handle (instead of pulling on the handle) to get the door to open, it made more sense to save the $$
