Looks like Canada will not get remote access on smart devices for Pacifica hybrid.
Could not find the "UConnect Access App" on apple App Store.
Something to do with lack of "cdma cellular network in Canada"
Anybody else have any info regarding this
Not a deal breaker but nice to have if we can.

:( That's lame. Starting to regret placing an order...

Too bad they couldn't have at least put a wifi radio in the pacifica so at least I can use the app while it's parked in my garage.

FWIW My Ford C-MAX had a 2G radio in it and when AT&T shut down 2G, Ford upgraded it to 3G at no cost to me. (and ford doesn't charge a monthly fee either)

I don't know why Chrysler can't have a GSM modem for Canada users. (I assume Rogers is GSM)

Is anyone really surprised? We live in Can't-ada. Want to watch this totally cool HBO thing? Nope, US only. Want this other cool thing shipped to your house? Nope, US only. Want this cool app for a car that is literally built six hours away from you in the same province? Nope, US only.

We do have free health care and no Trump though...nevermind, I can survive without the app...it probably sucks anyway. Best not to draw attention to our country here. Shhh!! We good, we good.

Has anybody heard any movement on this front?

I'm disappointed. The Canadian marketing material that I saw was advertising the Uconnect access app since the beginning.

Any thoughts on who we can push at Chrysler Canada to move this forward?

My 2012 Volt has had all this functionality in Canada and was built in 2011. It originally had a 2G radio, then when that was phased out in Canada, OnStar replaced it for a 3G radio free of charge in 2015.

CRTC or other excuses are not valid when the other manufacturers have had this functionality since 2011 and chrysler had been advertising it in Canada since the beginning.

As long as they have the engine firing up with a remote start while plugged in I could care less about the app. If/when they make that change then there's always the keyfob to initiate a remote start...

I agree. Many times I drove away on my PacHy without my phone, no problem. One time I tried to open the door without the keyfob, I almost ripped the handle off coz it didnt unlock. Yeah, keyfob rules. He he he

They can't even deliver my sold order van from February to me and it's almost June! I wouldn't hold my breath about them delivering an app. They've proven that they aren't good at the one thing they're supposed to be good at (delivering cars), I doubt they'll ever be good at 21st century stuff like apps.
