I know most owners are going to have the behind the headrest entertainment systems, but my L came with the overhead system.

The flip down screen has a red backwards "B" stamped into the screen on the inside. It's in the lower left corner, just big enough to be distracting. It's not burn in, it's a color stamp.

The dealer repair shop is trying to tell me this is normal, but the salesman says he's never seen it before.

I've been trying to search for the manufacturer of the overhead system to research further, but no luck.

Unfortunately there are no other Pacificas on the lot with overhead systems to compare to. Anyone here have this on their overhead screen?

I assume it's there even when the screen is powered off?

Could you take a picture of your overhead screen? I'm curious about adding this in addition to the uconnect theatre, but not sure if I want to go OEM or aftermarket. Can it play MP4s off a USB drive?

Yes. It's there when powered off. Just hoping another owner can let me know theirs doesn't have it so I know the dealer is wrong.
No screen should have a letter printed on it that you have to watch programming through. It's clearly a defect. Have you tried scrubbing it off?

Doesn't scrub off. It's on the inside. Like the B was stampedon then the plastic flipped around.

Makes sense since you said the B was backwards. Do you know if this was installed at the factory or if the dealer installed it?

Factory installed. Dealer says that how it came to them.
Seems like a cut and dry warranty issue then. If your dealer is giving you the runaround, send a PM to ChryslerCares and see if they can step in.

I feel dumb, but posting an update just in case someone else is looking for an answer. Quick answer: Yes, it's a screen protector that peels off.

Long answer: On last suggestion I tweeted at ChryslerCares and they asked for a picture of the issue. Went out to the van and the player wouldn't turn on. Took it to the dealer, turns out it's broken, and they had to order a whole new overhead player. Figured the problem now solved itself, but the new player was installed a couple weeks later and there's that dang backwards "B" again. So, finally was able to send a picture to ChryslerCares, who then asked for my VIN to verify it was factory installed. Had an answer in 24hrs that yes, it is a screen protector, but looks like the overhanging tab to peel it off was tucked into the edges in install. So, very carefully and with gritted teeth, I ran a razor blade lightly along the perimeter of the screen and was able to catch a corner. It's on there pretty good, but peeled off without issue.

Thanks to generaltso for suggesting ChryslerCares. They were great.

No thanks to my dealer, who could've done that in the first place.

RIP my DVD of Flash Gordon, which they couldn't get out of the broken player.
