This is driving me nuts. I cannot get audio to come out of the wireless headphones. Is there some trick or step i'm missing? The headphones power on fine, i can even hear a little background hum. Turned the volume up, but nothing? DVD audio only plays out the car stereo. I feel like i'm missing something simple.

Hi obscuriosity,

Since I am not a trained technician, I am not certain if the root cause is the audio or headphones. As far as the headphones, there is a warranty for them provided by Aptiv. If you have any questions about this, please connect with them at 248-724-5900. Should you decide to have the dealership take a look, we'd be glad to set this process up on your behalf.

Are you sitting directly in front of the screen when you're testing them? They're infrared.
Did you try changing the channel switch?
New batteries?

dealership had to disconnect 12v battery and reset the system to get the headphones to 'pair' according to them. I dunno, I guess it worked though.

We are having this same issue. Surely there is a way to pair the headphones without disconnecting the battery? I wonder if taking the batteries out of the headphones and putting back in will cause them to pair? I'm going to give it a try.

I just tried it and simply removing the batteries, putting them back in and powering the headphones on while a video is playing will pair them to the overhead DVD player.

I hope I can jump on this with a similar question. My van came with 2 headsets, and one has a loud buzz in the background. I will try to bring this up to the dealership when I go for my first oil change. But I wonder if anyone knows if this idea will work: I already have a USB memory stick attached to the back of the overhead console, and it plays movies/shows perfectly. I wonder if I can get a USB Bluetooth dongle and sync it with multiple pairs of Bluetooth headsets?

Does anyone know what type of headphones and remote work with the overhead DVD system? We bought the 2018 Touring Plus used (certified), and the dealership didn't have the headphones or remote.
