Has anyone with a Limited had issues with the cover for the panoramic moonroof not wanting to close once opened all the way? I've had this happen to me twice now. Each time I was finally able to get the cover closed about an hour later after numerous attempts and restarting the vehicle.

I think there's a short in the switch to close it and have an appointment to take it in to have it checked this week. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue.

Someone on forum.chryslerminivan.net reported pretty much the exact same issue, but hasn't taken it to the dealer yet.

Dealer said the switch is fine and sending a close signal every time but the motor for the shade needs to be replaced as it intermittently doesn't receive the signal from the switch. Hopefully I'll get that fixed in the next week or so.

Sounds like that was relatively oainl ss and the found the problem quickly. Let's hope the new motor solves the problem. Keep us posted please.

2017 Pacifica moon roof

I to am having problems with the shade on the moon roof. It will not open. I have had it at the dealer for seven full days and they are telling me they cannot find what is causing the problem. If anyone has had this fixed please respond. Thanks

I have had issues with the screen only if I've opened the sunroof first. It seems as if once the sunroof is closed it is missing it's "home position" (if that makes sense) and the screen won't move....It usually resolves if I open the sunroof fully and then close it fully. It has been extremely annoying.

Hey boxcarwilly and iggy1,

I too have the sunroof shade issues iggy posted in my Pacifica Limited. The shade will only open a half inch, it will close, but then not move at all (I can repeat this every time I start the van). I've taken it to dealer twice, they fixed it temporarily (not sure what they did). But a month later it went back to doing the same thing. This second time they ordered a part internationally, they called it a "jumper harness". It should arrive next week. I'll follow up with what happens.

Hi shosoc00,
Please feel free to keep me updated after your service at the dealership. I am happy to follow-up if needed.

Thank you for including a copy of your invoice. I'm sure it will point others that are having the same problem in the right direction. Glad your issue got sorted out.

Hey All,

I just got my Limited back with the sun roof interior cover issue fixed. Attached is a screen shot of the dealer's fix (and part number). It's decently explained in the invoice.

Thanks.

I didn't want the sunroof option. But when I sat in the vehicle on the dealer's lot and saw it open all the way (the cover, that is . . . not the glass), I was sold.

For those lucky ones with the sunroof option, any regrets? Any downside in getting it?

Thx.
None whatsoever. Love it. It makes the cabin so much more airy and bright in daylight. Our daughter loves to stare out of it when it's raining.

I have been having this issue on and off since October 2016 (bought in Aug. 2016). Finally took it in for service (last week) of course it worked perfectly that day and they found no issue. They performed software update and it is still happening and now the sunroof itself is having issues as well as the rear cross traffic alert now not working at all. ?

Hi elfmonkey,

I do see a few recorded cases for sunroof concerns that your dealership may be able to use to address your concerns. Please let us know the next time you're scheduled for service and we can reach out to them!
