I just bought a Pacifica Touring Plus with the Advanced Safety Tec Group to replace my 2012 Town & Country. When I drive into the garage the Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist sensors see the garage wall and a very loud warning goes off. Is there a way to either disable the warning sound or adjust its volume? I can't find any way to do this so far. I did find the settings to disable Park Assist, something that I don't want to do.

Thanks for any assistance!

Hi DeBary_FL--congrats on your new Pacifica! On page 113 of your User Guide (which you can pull up here: https://www.mopar.com/chrysler/en-us/care/knowledge-center.html), the directions for disabling ParkSense are as follows:

"Enabling And Disabling The ParkSense Active Park Assist System
The ParkSense Active Park Assist system can be enabled and disabled with the ParkSense Active Park Assist switch, located on the switch panel below the Uconnect display. To enable the ParkSense Active Park Assist system, push the ParkSense Active Park Assist switch once (LED turns on). To disable the ParkSense Active Park Assist system, push the ParkSense Active Park Assist switch again (LED turns off). When the ParkSense Active Park Assist system is enabled the “Active ParkSense Searching -Push OK to Switch to Perpendicular” message will appear in the instrument cluster display.
You may switch to perpendicular parking if you desire. Push the OK button on the left side steering wheel switch to change your parking space setting. You may switch back to parallel parking if you desire."

Let me know if that helps, or if you still need assistance!

Many thanks for the reply. :smile2: As the last sentence of my post says, I did find how to deactivate ParkSense, but I didn't want to do that, I just want to mute or at least turn down that loud alert's volume. I guess as a last resort I could deactivate it before I enter my garage and reactivate it after I back out.

Again, thanks. Except for this one annoying detail and an intermittent passenger-side rear door problem, I really like my new Pacifica. It handles MUCH better than my old Town & Country, and, as a high-tech toy junkie, you cant beat all the bells and whistles this thing has! :grin2:

The volume can be changed for the front and rear sensors independently. Low, Medium, or High.
