Our passenger side mirror met an unfortunate end on the side of our garage. I bought a replacement from a dealer and tired to fix this myself. I was able to remove the door panel to access the 3 bolts holding the mirror onto the van. I was able to remove 2 of the 3 nuts, but, as far as I can tell, the 3rd nut is darn near impossible to access. I've tried several different tools to get at it, but I just can't remove that 3rd nut. It is driving me, well, nuts! I can't figure out any way to make the access easier. Anyone with any experience in replacing this thing?

Thanks for the suggestion. I may try that option. You can feel the nut, but can't see it. It is incredibly awkward just to try to put a finger on it. I'm not sure you can even get a socket over it, though. I was using a 10mm open ratchet with a 90 degree flex. I could sometimes get the open end over the nut, but couldn't turn it due to lack of space and bad angle.

And once it is off, one must worry about getting it back on!
