Starting this evening, when I parked in my garage, I hit the button on the ceiling console to open the sliding door. It didn’t open. I hit again. No luck. I heard a clicking when I pushed the button but the door did not start moving. I pulled the outside handle and it opened. The. I pushed the button on the handle to close it. It clicked but did not move. I pulled the handle and it closed. I tried the button to open the door, it clicked and popped open but the motor did not engage and the door did not open. Only pulling the exterior handle causes the door to work

Want one experience this issue. Ideas to resolve?

Check the center button between the two power sliding door buttons in the overhead console. If the blue light is on, the power to the doors is off, just push the button again to turn off the blue light and power should be restored.:smile2:

Sorry. Check the child lock safety switch on the back of the sliding door as another option. Maybe someone else will have an idea, but I think you might need a dealer appointment if the problem is one sided.

Unlikely the solution, but if this connector was coming apart and you could re connect it, it might be a possible solution. The thread isn't really about your problem, but the photos could be useful.

Sliding door stuck open in garage Post 10. It might take a little while to load.

Any idea how to find and reset the fuse on that door perhaps? I will try again tomorrow after the car sits off overnight.

Thanks. I've been reading the forum awhile and sometimes remember a post (and who posted it) which makes it much easier to use the search feature. Thanks for all who post info and solutions. The problem kind of sounds like a motor, connection, or similar thing, but we can always hope it is something that can be reset at home and avoid the dreaded trip to the dealer service department.

I had the same problem with my 2018 Limited. Error code pulled by the dealer said it was a faulty door latch but it tested fine. They finally traced the problem back to a the door control module.

As a follow up to those that have posted. The next day all was back to normal. So at least for now I can avoid a dealer trip. But I did take notes in some good troubleshooting steps from all of your posts that I can try if this happens again.

I have the same issue. We have taken it to the dealer 3 times now. It seems to happens usually after we turn off the car and let it sit for a while. Sometimes pulling the handle won't work either. They have done software update, replace the "module", and still fails. We will be taking it back once again.
