Two days ago our passenger side sliding door stopped working. It just beeps when you push the button on the fob, the button on the door, the button on the center overhead console, use the handle on the in and out side.

In have made sure the power button on the console isn't disabled and the fuse isn't blown.

The door will also not open manually. I have tried from the inside and out. I have also manually locked and unlocked the door.

It doesn't even seem to be releasing the door mechanism when I try to do it manually.

The only thing I can think to try next is to unhook the battery then hook it back up. .. because. .. I don't know what else to do.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you've tried the obvious things. Maybe someone else will let you know if disconnecting the battery would help.

Since there have been a couple of posts related to a sliding door coming off the track somehow, I think it would be good to let the dealer try to fix the door. If somehow you pulled on the handle too hard and the door then had a problem, then the dealer might say it was your fault. The door or lock is probably stuck somehow. Maybe they can find a code if it is related to an electrical problem. I guess you could go to an auto parts store and see if there is a stored code.

If you put your van info (year, trim, gas/hybrid, etc.) in the signature line of the UserCP it will show up at the bottom of each post and it might help someone answer your questions in the future.

Just a theory - I once had the factory rubber floor mat slide back and get jammed in the 3rd rom stow and go when unstowing them into the chair position. This caused it to "lock out" to prevent over-force damage. Possibly you have something similar? I had to go and have the 3rd row module reset/reprogrammed at the dealership at no charge.

It is a bit of a known issue that the sliding doors keep having issues. Last I heard it was a software update that was needed and would be out sometime in the middle of 2018. I haven't heard back.

For my car its the driver sliding door. Just started yesterday. All other doors work just fine. Not fun to have this issue on top of all the others this van has.
