Hey all. Picking up my Jazz Blue hybrid in about an hour (Ontario) and the dealer just called to say there was an issue. During PDI when they entered the VIN it came up with a recall on the struts.

He said Chrysler Canada also sent struts to them yesterday but they don't have time to install the morning.

I'm still picking it up and going back in a few days to get the work done. Just a heads up to confirm with your dealers before pickup to avoid a second appointment.

"As with all launches, but particularly in the case of this technically advanced vehicle, we are taking great care to ensure that the Pacifica Hybrid comes off the line with the highest quality possible. We will only introduce a vehicle when we are fully satisfied the vehicle meets or exceeds customer expectations."

That was not my expectation, for the record.

Hi everyone,

We've confirmed internally that at this time there is no campaign (safety recall, CSN, RRT) regarding this concern. @nidus72 if you would like to PM our page with your VIN, contact information and dealership's name I can escalate this to the appropriate team within the Canadian Customer Assistance department.

There's a customer in the U.S. that had the same recall and is waiting to take delivery so it's definitely there.

Hi everyone,

@SherylBear thank you for posting that, we just received more information regarding this campaign. There is a RRT for Pacifica Hybrids and Pacificas in NAFTA and LATAM markets built on or after March 05, 2017 and on or before March 07, 2017 for a rear suspension squeak/rattle. I apologize for the misinformation above and will edit my post so others aren't confused. If you have any additional questions please PM our page and let me know.

So there is a two day window of recalls? Did someone have a bad day at work? :)

In all seriousness, thank you for the information.

Hey invaderc1--we just want to make it clear that RRT's are not recalls! But yes, it is for a somewhat small portion of vehicles.

To add a little perspective, I'm really glad FCA found and fixed this problem before I got the van. The dealer didn't have the parts yesterday but got them today and had completed the needed work for this RRT by 3 this afternoon. I expect to complete the sale and be on the road tomorrow morning.

That being said, many buyers do not know or have a means to know their build date. It would be very helpful if FCA could ID the affected VIN's so folks will know to coordinate with the dealer WRT getting the parts in and the work done. There seems to be some inconsistency between various dealers in how/when they are getting the parts and finding that they need to do the work. My dealer said they checked and found the RRT but had to order the parts. Others appear to have received the parts unexpectedly and had to figure out why. This is just a suggestion but it might help ease the stress a bit for everyone. Thanks.

The build date is on the sticker on the edge of the driver's door.
