I have a 2018 Pacifica 8.4 display without navigation. Phones are Moto G5's
When I first picked up the van from the dealer new a few months ago the time was off by 4 hours and could not be changed. The dealer replace the radio which fixed that problem. But I immediately noticed that the van would no longer retain the Bluetooth paired phones after about an hour. I never noticed this condition with the original radio. Here is what happens. Our phones pair fine. If I turn off the car for less than an hour, the phones reconnect fine. If the engine is off for more than an hour and then start the car I get a message on Uconnect that no devices are available. Uconnect does not list my phone as being previously paired. And the weird thing is that our phones have the connections removed too.
I was able to talk the dealer into replacing the radio again, but that did not fix the problem. Any ideas, similar problems?

Do you know if they performed any software updates to the radio? That could have been what was needed the whole time. There was an update that came out a few months ago that addressed a bunch of bugs including bluetooth connectivity issues.

I would hope the stealership was smart enough to check for updates before replacing the radio and updating the new radio after installing it, but you never know.

Hi PC210018,
Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your Uconnect system. I'd like to look into this a bit further to see if there's anything we can do to help. Please send us a private message at your earliest convenience.

I'm not sure the dealer has been checking the software updates. The second radio (the one to fix the time problem) had more apps than the original radio. The only one I can remember was one to view the owners manual. But it never worked. I took pictures of the engineering screens of radio 2 and 3.
Radio 2: application version of NA_NN_NC_IR_SBX-21.9.0-20180516-109V and a BootMico version of 18.10.01 SW version 18.20.2e
Radio 3: application version of NA_NN_NC_IR_SBX-22.5.0-20180815-10f8 and a BootMico version of 18.33.01 SW version 18.33.01

I would assume the bolded part of the app version is the release date. I have searched online to find any change control docs or current release files, but have come up empty

That is correct. The number right before that is the software version number. So, for Radio 2 it was 21.9, and for radio 3 it was 22.5.

You're supposed to be able to enter your VIN here to check for updates, and if necessary download the latest version to install manually if one is available. However, many folks are finding that their dealers are seeing available updates for their van despite that site telling them there isn't one available.

I have free access to TSBs through my local public library's auto repair database. There are some TSBs that I've found that refer to software updates to address a list of known issues. I don't think they issue TSBs for each software release. I believe that they release TSBs to bring it to a tech's attention that a software update may address a customer's issue. You'd think that in this day and age techs would be smart enough to check for updates first (rather than just replacing the radio :) ).

The latest radio-related TSB I could find is 08-035-19 REV. A. Unfortunately, this forum has a ridiculously low maximum file size for PDFs (19.5 KB), so I can't attach it, but I have copied and pasted the important parts of the text below.
