I bought a used 2019 Pacifica Touring L. It had one fob, so I have to buy and program some more. Can anyone please tell me what fobs are supplied with a new Pacifica? I heard rumors that all new Pacificas are ALL delivered with two standard fobs and 1 Keysense fob. I've heard some others claim that keysense capability is an option. I don't know which is true.

If Keysense is an optional feature, can anyone tell me whether the feature must be ordered from the factory as an option, or can a keysense fob be added and programmed later, by the dealer? Chrysler documentation about keysense always says "if equipped", and that comment does not tell me much.

I'm not clear if every Pacifica has the software and hardware for keysense to work. I'd hate to purchase a pacifica keysense fob, and learn that it won't work for my van.

Keysense has always been an extra cost option on the Pacifica. Below is a reply from a ChryslerCares specialist back in 2016:
KeySense is not able to be added to the vehicle, unfortunately. It needs to be installed from the factory.

In the past, KeySense was an extra feature usually found in higher trim models. The third fob will say KeySense on it. Two regular fobs also came with vans that had KeySense.
My 2017 Touring L didn't come with a KeySense (teen driver/limiting)feature/fob. It came with two regular fobs.
If your van doesn't have KeySense from the factory, I'm pretty sure it cannot be added later.
If your van has that feature built in, it should be listed in a window sticker or equipment list.
If you do not have the window sticker for your van, you can get it here by inserting the VIN where the XXXXXXXX's are once it is in the https line of the computer.

The window sticker should show the options you have.

Hello Lscman,

We are sorry to hear of your KeySense concerns. Please note that not all new Pacifica's come with the KeySense feature. If your vehicle is not equipped with this feature, you should be given 2 regular fobs when purchasing the vehicle as new. If your vehicle does has this feature, you should be given a total of 3 fobs at the time of purchase. If you are unsure if you vehicle has come equipped with this feature, please feel free to follow up via private message with your VIN as we would be happy to check for you.

Thanks Caring Chrysler. I will look into whether my van came with keysense but at this point I’m guessing not. I am not the original owner so a key count upon delivery tells me nothing. The Ford dealer I bought it from “used” provided me 1 key lol

I was hoping that the 7” dashboard display menu in the van would tell me if the van has keysense, but I guess not.....

If there isn't info regarding KeySense in the settings, then your van probably doesn't have KeySense.
To be sure, you can check your van's window sticker on the internet (see post #3). The VIN (vehicle identification number) is on paperwork or can be found near the dash by the driver's side windshield wiper (standing outside the van). You can also check the sticker on the edge of the driver's door for VIN and build date.

I found that the internet website called: Keyless Entry Remotes, Key Fobs, Replacement Car Remotes, Smart Car Keys
sells new, unprogrammed remotes for dirt cheap. They always offer 15% off to those interested in submitting a coupon code, so a brand new factory 7 button original equipment remote for 2017 thru 2020 was only $59. Coincidently, my new Chrysler dealer charged me $59 to program it, and they did not complain about the owner-supplied part. total cost for fob and programming was $120.
