On certain trips, I have a habit of turning off the climate control and opening windows when running in EV charge. If I park the vehicle with the Climate Control turned off will the A/C run when remote start is later used? For this question let’s assume the thermostat was set around 70, and it’s 80+ outside. I’m trying to figure out whether I need to turn on the climate control prior to parking and exiting the car to pre-condition via remote start. Thanks for any replies.

You might have to test this out yourself. But I believe using SCC or Remote Start overrides whatever HVAC mode was selected. Just like in the same way that when it’s cold, remote start will heat your seat and steering wheel when activated. In hot weather, I believe the air conditioning will only activate if the temperature is over 27C when using remote start. I seem to remember seeing that in the manual. I don’t know if that’s the same for SCC, I’ve never actually used that in the summer.
