I have just noticed that the door jam label suggests a tire pressure of 36 psi with my 20 inch wheels. However, the actual pressures indicated on the dash screen are 43 - 44 psi. Should I be letting the pressure down to the recommended 36 psi?

Our limited came with 18" wheels with 45lbs in three tires and 45lbs in passenger rear. I dropped the pressure in all to 39 lbs and the ride is better an quieter . I am going to drop them to 36 as recommended. The dash reads 2 lbs higher than my gauge.

Other threads discuss this issue also. Others, including myself, have seen their vans delivered with 45-50 psi. Personally, I backed mine off to the recommended 36 psi. It rides and handles better, and the tires should wear more evenly also.

Add us to the list as well. On our first long trip, I noticed the pressures were in the range of 43-44 psi (hot). This was about 40 psi cold. I dropped them all by about 4 psi and I also think it rides much better.

I would assume the high psi is due to shipping and trying not to get flat spots from sitting. I've seen that before on other vehicles, but I thought the dealers were always supposed to check and adjust this during their pre-delivery inspection..

OK. Called my dealer and they suggested lowering the pressure to 36 psi. As said earlier, I would have expected dealer to have done this during the pre-delivery inspection.
I have done this, but dash still reports 43-44. Anyone know when this gets re-set? I have tried turning the ignition on but this did nothing.

Wanted to be sure I remembered correctly. Here's what Chrysler says:

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Tire Pressure Monitoring System Reset:

If you receive a low-tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light while driving and you want to clear or turning off the warning light on your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, follow these instructions:

Make sure the vehicle is at a complete stop
Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard located on the door panel.
Driving for a few miles (kilometers), calibration will complete after 20 minutes of cumulative driving at least 24 km/h (15 mph), and then verify that it turns off.
