Picked up my black Limited yesterday. The ride and handling of this vehicle is leaps and bounds over the 2013 T&C I just turned in. I feel like I'm driving a luxury sedan. I did get the 20" tires. A bit stiff, but corners beautifully. My daughter noticed the van doesn't sway like the old model.

Now for the questions.
1) I have set my radio stations. I then pressed the "S" set button on the drivers door, then "1". Memory profile #1 set according to the dash screen.
Turn off the car. Come back and start, my stations are gone and they are back to the original settings. I've done this three times now. "Wonky" would be the way I would describe this.
We also own a Dodge Ram truck and are comfortable and familiar with the UConnect system and settings on the truck have no issue.

2) UConnect Theater: put in a DVD in the front slot. Video plays, no sound. Remote isn't being recognized, so I tried the play/stop buttons on the dash. That works, but still no sound from the movie, only the radio.
I have had the DVD system in my last two T&Cs and it worked great, so I appreciate any tips that might help me solve this problem.

2a) I was under the impression, both from Chrysler's video and online blogs, that tablets and phones would be recognized from the backseat screens and content would be displayed. (My son hooks up his iPhone via USB and I thought it would mirror the display). I got nothing when I connected it. Yes, I did select the source via the screen.

I'm sorry I'm not much help for item 1 above (I only have the L Plus), but for item 2, have you paired the remotes and headphones to the system? I know I had to do that before mine would work and since doing so they've worked flawlessly.

2a) Unfortunately, the USB in the back of the seats is only for charging. To mirror his iPhone your son will need a lightning to HDMI cable.

Had this problem with our Ltd (no theater). We also have the XM freezing (no info change) or quiting all together. WE are getting a new radio next week.

On #1 are you using the same key FOB each time? If you happen to have your key FOBs optionally linked to the seat, mirror and radio 1\2 Memory function, then the UNLOCK button of a key FOB plays into all this as well.

Ok- solved one problem on my own and been on the phone with Chrysler for the others.

1) Radio presets- Chrysler mentor says that this is a known issue. I was told they recently made a change to the radio software and you cannot set the presets and have them "stay". They don't know why that decision was made, but they hope it will be resolved with an update. This one seems very odd. The radio buttons will freeze at times too. Must be a bug.

2) Sound on uConnect Theater- there is a "Listen In" button. Once selected, the sound from the backseat screens will play through the main speakers. You can select which screen you want to hear. When that button is clicked off, the radio plays normally. Cool feature, but it is one that isn't immediately obvious.

3) Mirroring- HDMI adapter is needed. BrettP- spot on. Chrysler mentor had the same suggestion. Now, why it seems to be advertised that this is part of the uConnect theater system is a mystery to me.

I really enjoy the ride of this minivan. Much better than the old model.

mcsdet - Thanks for sharing what the Chrysler Rep said.

2) Listen-In is how you'll listen to old CDs up front too. Even if you are the only person in the van and just want to pop in an audio CD (free audio books from the library in my case), you'll need to locate and press that 'Listen-In' button. The whole system just assumes the CD/DVD drive in the front dash is primarily reserved for the rear users and defaults to wireless headphone mode unless you override with Listen-In to send signal to the main speakers.

Is it not possible to change stations / radio volume from the steering wheel controls? Can't find any information on this in the manual.
It is possible, yes. The right side controls volume (up/down) and the center button changes the input (AM/FM/Sirius/USB). The left side controls the station by scanning (up/down), center button will cycle through your preset stations.

I have been having issues with my radio not saving presets, the screen won't let me select changes sometimes when Sirius is selected. When that happens, the steering wheel buttons don't work either. This is an annoying bug that needs to be fixed. I was told today by the Chrysler Connect rep that they are aware of the preset selection problem and that it was a decision made by Chrysler. The tech mentors did not know if and when this would be corrected.

I was having the same issue with my presets until I disconnected the key FOB from my user 1 settings.

From page 44 of the user guide:

NOTE: Your RKE Key Fob can be unlinked to your memory settings by pushing the SET(S) button, and within 10 seconds, followed by pushing the UNLOCK button on the RKE Key Fob.

It also gives instructions on how to save your settings to the key Fob.

When my radio freezes I reboot it by pressing the volume and tune buttons at the same time until the screen goes back. I don't like that I've had to do this a couple of times now, but at least it works.

We had the fluky radio issue, freezing, slow apps etc. We had it replaced and it is leaps and bounds better.
