We traded my Chrysler T&C for a 2017 Pacifica Touring Plus a few months ago. At first we had zero problems with it. Then it started making a constant rattling noise every time we drive it. My husband took it today to the dealer for service and they said the noise was because there was dirt in the tracks of the passenger sliding door and it wasn't closing all the way. However I drove it as soon as he brought it back on the interstate and the noise is happening again. I feel like the noise is coming from the front passenger side. Thoughts? Anyone else have this problem? Solutions?

Thanks!!

We bought our 2017 Pacifica Limited in November 2017 and it has now accumulated 9400 miles. In the past couple of weeks, both left and right sliding doors have developed rattles and creaking noises. The left door is worse than the right, but it sounds like the rattle is right behind my left ear. I have sat in the back while my wife drives and I have not been able to stop the rattle, however, if I jiggle the door handle back and forth, the rattle sounds exactly the same. I am trying to get an appointment at the dealership as this needs to be fixed. I will say, if I'm on a smooth road, the creaking and rattling stops. I really like this minivan, but it's been back to the dealership more times in 10 months than our 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite and 2004 Nissan Quest SE did in 17years of ownership.

I am having the exact issue on both sliding doors, it is going in today to get looked at. It seems like it started after I had the rollers replaced on both sides. I had the vehicle in two weeks ago to get looked at and they said that its coming from inside the door and would have to look further in to it. So I hope they can figure it out because its very annoying.

Hi, I too have had the same issue, started in one door and eventually the other. We take the van fairly frequently on a bumpy, very dusty gravel road. I have found there is something to dirt in the track area, our van gets very dirty inside the door tracks. When I clean the tracks and put WD40/silicone on some of the contact points where the doors connect to frame the rattles goes away entirely. I've had to do it 2x3 times over the 12k miles we have had it.

I live on about 1/10 of a mile of gravel. and we drive slow, I also wash the vehicle at least once a week, I cant imagine the track getting that dirty. Now when I had it in the shop because the doors made a horrid sound when closing and opening, they determined the cause to be dirt in the rollers. They cleaned the track, replaced the rollers and shortly after that the creaking started. So who knows hope they can find a solution.

Did you ever get this resolved? We have a rattle that appears to be coming from the passenger side dash, it's only noticeable at high speeds (i.e. on the freeway).

Last year I noticed a rattle when going over bumps or starting/stopping the van - took it to the dealership and the doors were adjusted - the noise stopped for a while, but it back. Took it to the dealer again and was told it was the suspension ...

Noise passenger side door

I bought a used 2017 pacifica and notice a rattle noise on the passenger side door anytime I stop and accelerate. Took it to mechanic and they can't figure out the problem. Anyone know what the issue is with either passenger side front door or sliding door that makes a noise when you accelerate?

Are you sure it is from the door? Have the mechanic from dealership be able to verify the noise?

This wasn't really a door issue on my van, but another option is to check the space under the floor where the power door supports move to see if anything is moving around or rattling down there. After owning the van over a year, I suddenly had a sound like something moving in a can and eventually (within a month) found a pencil there. I had checked the Stow and Go wells but didn't find anything. I didn't figure out how a pencil got there, but I was glad when it finally rolled to where I could see it and take it out. The other thing to check is tags that might vibrate if rubbing on something. I had a bungee cord tag that vibrated on a piece of wood in the back. Cut off the tag, problem solved.

You could also try the search feature to see if there are any other related posts.

If you put your van info (year, trim, gas/hybrid, etc.) in the signature line of the UserCP it might help others answer your other questions in the future.

I haven't had any noise issues to speak of but I have found small pieces of gravel in that sliding door area...

So I've been dealing with a rattle in the door for a very long time ...I'm beyond frustrated. After being told it was the suspension (in February), the noise has gotten worse. Louder as the miles pile on. It's been back at the dealership 2 times - yesterday they replaced a bunch of stuff - I was told there was nothing more they could do and that it will no doubt get worse.

This van has less than 20K miles on it and I'd like to drive it off a cliff. There HAS to be a fix - who wants to listen to a rattle coming from the door all of the time ...!!???

Try lubricating the seals around the door.

Thanks for the info - I doubt I will try that though ... I would have thought the service department would have done that at some point since the van has been back there so many times because of the same issue.
I'm going to test drive a few GMC's today. My Chrysler dream has fizzled - and it didn't take long.

I too have this annoying noise problem from passenger side sliding door. It is more like seuaking noise. I took the van to the two different dealers three times and they could not fix the problem. Very annoying. Only 35,000miles. This is my first Chrysler product and will be the last. Never have this kind of silly problem from cars from other company.

I have the exact same rattle. I took the door panel off, but the rattle is deeper inside.

Finally found the rattle, On the bottom of the window there are two blue plastic window grippers with a bolt in each one. one bolt was stripped so it wasn't fully tight causing the washer to rattle. I was able to tighten the bolt enough to stop the rattle.
