I purchased my 2017 Pacifica pre-owned. We love the vehicle overall (just returned from vacation in it), but have never been able to get any of the games to work on the rear screens.
When attempting to launch any game, the screen just goes black. The only way to get the screen display back is to select DVD on the head unit. I updated the software but to no avail.
All related topics /forums I find about any issues are realated to the head unit. I have no issues with that - only games with the rear screens.
I've been told to "take it to the dealership to have them run diagnostics", but was hopefully that maybe someone here had the same issue and could perhaps provide a resolution.

I believe it is a known issue and some have recommended pulling fuses from under the passenger seat. My car is currently in dealership for a similar issue (one side screen not working) and they are planning a replacement of screen under warranty.
My advise is to take it to dealership if still under warranty. The more people report the issues to dealerships, the more they will be inclined to believe that a problem exists and needs to be addressed.

Hi LeoAllen,

Sorry to hear of the trouble you are experiencing with your Pacifica. Please let us know via private message if you decide to have your dealer look into this. We would like to have this documented and have a case escalated in your behalf so a Case Specialist can work with your dealer to help find a potential solution.

The module under the seat is the video router. It has no fuses. All fuses are under the hood.

Thanks for the clarification. This was one of the responses I got when I posted my issue in a separate thread. Anyway, the video screen was replaced by the dealership and it is working fine now.

Happens to ours too, the rear entertainment system is quite buggy and prone to freezing, etc.

just bought a used one(2017). Thought the apps would have been fun, but all but that works is "are we there yet?" the rest black screen. I guess i could hook up my kids switch and then mirror screen to the other one so they could play on their own screens, only issue is our kids are 6 and one and a half. maybe they will grow into it. oh well i guess having the movie on both is nice. after our trip out of town this weekend i might take it in. On our test drive i didn't test the games. i guess i should have. should be covered in the bumper to bump it was a CPO.
