Thanks for replying! My DVDs can play but no games. It just freezes the whole unit up once I touch the games. I wonder if these neverending issues with this stuff qualifies for lemon law? I literally only had one package I had to have in my van and that is the one package that hasn't worked since I bought it! Ugg!
I had same issue, first dealer just said nothing they can do, wait for a software update. I went to a second dealer and they replaced the VRM module and it now works fine. I've seen others have success with the VRM module as well.

Have them replace the video routing module. That fixed the problem for us with the games freezing up. It's a known solution (if the dealer would check online).

Same issue here.

Brand new van. 2nd day of ownership the $3k option package is screwed.

Not a good first impression at all.

We will see how the dealer tries to handle it. Fortunately I do have multiple dealers I can take the van to if needed.

Well so far the answer is that it's a known issue with no fix, and the factory engineers are looking into it.

Aka... "lt's broken. We can't fix it. Thanks for paying $3k for a feature that doesn't work. We like your money. Now go pound sand."

Pretty freaking frustrated right now.

PacHy was at the dealer for most of a week on the rear screen failure, with no fix performed or even planned.

I did get some info on the issue that Chrysler is aware of but has no actual fix on, that has been ongoing from other customers for at least the past 5 weeks.
I need to call into Chrysler Customer Care 800-992-1997

Case Number: S2108000095
Release Date: 4/14/2021
Symptom: Rear Seatback Video Screen goes black when selecting a game application.
Discussion: Customer may notice that the rear seat video screen turns black after trying to select any game application. Engineering is reviewing the concern, potential future software enhancement.

So Chrysler knew about this issue at least a full 4 weeks before I bought the van, and they sold me a product with a known defect. It may not be a major fault like an engine or trans failure... but its the main reason we bought this van with the $3k theater package. If I had known that this system was basically useless... I probably would have bought one without the system at all. Or even have waited till the fix was released.

At this point my wife wants me to research how to return the car through lemon law. something something. She is more upset then I am.

Resurrecting this thread.

Were you ever able to find a solution for the black screens?

My 21' Pinnacle's rear screens also go black if an app or game is selected. After a most unpleasant and avoidable experience at a dealer, I was just informed that there is no fix yet. They handed me a star publication dated June of this year that describes exactly the selection of games and the resultant black screens.

Others in this thread have posted that a new VRM did fix the issue.

Would Alice or Floatsonwater please confirm that yours are still functioning correctly?

It's unacceptable that this issue, which has been pointed out by others, has been ongoing for over 6 months, and is still without a solution. The theater group is a $3000 option, and Chrysler is either unable, or unwilling to allocate the resources to arrive at a solution.

Here are 3 words that might get someone at Chrysler's attention. It's much costlier than a lemon law buyback:

This is the TSB 08-018-21 Rev. A
At the time that I had the work done it was Rev A, but that MIGHT have been changed at this point.

You need to check the VRM version from the rear screens themselves under the settings page. Checking version from the front screen will give you completely different info.

Here is a pic of the settings page pre-fix.
Its the 2nd line that should update from 203014 to 211412 with the VRM update from the TSB 08-018-21 rev. A.

Anyone had the issue of not able to play the blu ray/ DVD because there is no option to select input for disk or blu ray player. In my uconnect theater front screen I don't see any option to play the disk. Under source I don't see any option to select disk either. At this point I am thinking the software is not meant for my pinnacle trim (2022 pachy pinnacle). Anyone know how to update it?

Called my dealer, saying it charges $135 for the software update. and maybe a diagnosis fee applied as well.

Does any of you need to pay? The dealer says it is not covered by warranty.

It's covered by the Bumper to Bumper 100% and if your still in it find a different dealer cause that is 100% BS.. If your outside the 36 month bumper to bumper(or to many miles) then yes you are kind of hosed.. I suggest calling around to different dealers and getting quotes on software update prices. Thing is though if it goes totally black they usually have to replace the whole unit(which is what happened to mine) so it was covered under my extended and they updated it for free(because it's part of the install) to the latest version.

I bought my car as a Chrysler CPO. The warranty I am looking at is the 3 month/ 3000 mile Maximum warranty. I was told it is the same as 3 year/36000 mile new car warranty. I will find out Thursday once the deal takes the car in the shop.
