So the software update is just to give you enough time to pull over. Question is if you encounter this issue outside of warranty, will the replacement of the burned component be covered, Or if another recall will come out later to fix the issue and avoid the connector to be burned.

Sounds like it's internal to the transaxle, so I would think an extended warranty on it might be the best you could hope for.

I just got the recall completed today on my 2022.

It didn’t tell me how long. The 30 is an estimate, I was trying to count in my head while dodging a car behind me and realizing that there isn’t much of a shoulder to pull over on.

I tried to reaccelerate to go to another section of highway that would let me get further over but there was a turtle icon on the dash and I was basically coasting at that point. I may have had throttle prior to that but I was a little jarred as I was focusing on the rear view mirror

Still sounds terrible, glad you pulled safely with no one in the vehicle.
Hopefully they also updated PIM to store the codes correctly, and now you get a new transmission.
