The suspect period began on August 12, 2016, when production of the Chrysler Pacifica began, and ended on January 9, 2023, when FCA US LLC ("FCA US") began containing suspect vehicles under plant control. The suspect period was determined using field data and engineering change records.
Similar vehicles not included in this recall are not PHEVs or were built after the suspect period.
They claim this issue doesn't exist for brand new cars, so I'd assume if you hit it, and have your transmission replaced, it'll actually solve the issue moving forward. Still shitty, but better than what was happening before.

Hello,

We have not heard of an incidents from after the software update. Should something like this occurs, we recommend reaching out to our roadside assistance to get the vehicle towed to the closest certified dealership, and letting us know so that we can make sure that our technical team is aware. Thank you.

What you're saying is inconsistent with information provided to NTHSA in recall no 23V-010.

How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : Remedy is a PIM and IPC software update for 2017-2018 model year vehicles and a PIM software update for 2019-2023 model year vehicles providing messaging to the customer and sufficient drive time to exit traffic.
Your claim about no incidents suggest that recall is suppose to actually fix loss of power. Description that your company provide to NHTSA doesn't mention fixing loss of power incidents, but only that it's suppose to give customer notification and time to exit the traffic. Which one is that? And if that's the latter, why is it such a big secret on what's "sufficient drive time to exit traffic"?

How is 30s of limping acceptable for known safety defect, that’s not being fixed properly purely because of cost of replacing transmission? There’s a lot of highways, bridges, etc, where 30s won’t get you to any safe spot.

This will kill someone, and hopefully then this “solution” will be picked apart by lawyers.

I wouldn’t count on NHTSA - they’re heavily underfunded, largely toothless and relay mostly on manufacturers good will.

Anyone who had loss of power after the recall, and lost the power immediately, PLEASE make sure to report it to NHTSA AND flag that recall is not working AT ALL, as it doesn't give you any time to exit the freeway.

@ChryslerCares based on all the data we got on this forum so far, the so called "recall" is misleading. It doesn't give people any time to exit the freeway.

I'm not saying it's okay, by any means, but the car doesn't just slow down with a lot of resistance right away.
Watch this video and you'll see that he's coasting pretty well still, even without power, and able to get over to the side of the road okay (luckily).
What if you go uphill?
No one is claiming that car is putting on the breaks when it shutdowns. But coasting is just coasting. It's not by any means "providing [...] sufficient drive time to exit traffic." like Chrysler false claims in the recall.

The recall provides you a warning message if your vehicle is about to shut down. Should any reason your vehicle does fail, please send us a PM, our team would like to assist.

That's just not true, from all the reports we got so far, where people got shutdown after performing the recall. Warning message is displayed when car is already shutting down. What's Chrysler's definition of about to shut down in this context? 0.1s?

Not a single report we got so far, people got any time to exit the traffic before vehicle shutdown. Everyone had to coast. I know this is a tricky situation, both for us and Chrysler, but not being open about what recall does and what it doesn't do is not helping anyone.

I see there're only 2 options:
1. Chrysler is trying weasel words with the statement "providing [...] sufficient drive time to exit traffic", by claiming that "drive time" means coasting.
2. Recall is defective and cars are still shutting down early.

Are you willing to directly answer which one is that?
