Since it has been getting colder I have found myself using the remote start feature a lot lately.
I have noticed the following issue happening with the Climate system.

I set the temperature to 74 degrees (Auto ON, Sync ON) and shut off the car. After I remote start the car I enter and check the climate screen. The drivers temperature is now showing 64, the passenger and rear are showing 74 (Auto, Sync ON). The car is blowing cold air on the driver side and hot air on the passenger side. If I touch the driver temperature up on screen button it jumps to 75.

This is only happening if I use the remote starter. If I start the car normally all the temperatures are set correctly on the climate screen.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I'll change the settings on mine when I get some time and report back.

Any update?

I am thinking if any setup was stored in the car key so that everytime it just recall the original setting. For my car, the driver and rear always be 'LO', and the passenger side is always '73F' which looks like what I have set.
Sorry. Really nice day. Kid was at day care so we took my car out. Will get on it tomorrow for sure.

After multiple tests of remote start and normal tests I concluded that the van stays at whatever auto climate settings it was a last. If I leave the climate synced at 75. It will be 75 next time I start the van whether remote or normally.

My experience is the same.....remote starts at same temperature settings as when vehicle was shutdown.
Note: I've only been using this and checked for heat settings, not A/C on cool settings.

Remote start climate control

I am experiencing the same issue described on my Touring-L. The thermostats for the driver and passenger sides default to 'Lo' when remote started. This occurred no matter how many times is change the setting and with what keys. As it is winter, this is not ideal for my wife and children in the mornings when trying to warm the car. I will get it looked at soon by the dealership.

For the people who have this problem, does your AC work? Mine doesn't. I'm in Houston, so I actually need AC now. The strangest thing is that it's worked twice out of about 20 tries.

I've tried scheduling service in Houston but the place I bought it from says their service department is too busy to talk on the phone (!!!), and another place says it will be 24-48 hours after dropoff before they can even do an initial inspection because there are so many recalls right now.

I love the features of this thing, but this has been a terrible service experience. I've always owned Honda/Toyota/Lexus, and I guess this is what it's like to buy the least reliable car made. Not a good fit for the family vehicle.

Hi JayKay (and everyone else!),

I've sent an inquiry to the Pacifica team to find out more information on what you're experiencing with the remote start. I will let you know what I find out.

Hello JayKay,

I purchased a 2017 Pacifica Limited just after Thanksgiving and I have the identical problem you are experiencing.
All I do is touch the Driver Temp Control Up or Down button and the temp will go to one degree up or down (depending on which button I press) from my normally set AUTO & SYNC Temp which is 70 degrees. As soon as I do this, everything resets to normal ops. If I don't use remote start, I start the vehicle and both sides and rear are at 70 degrees.
By coincidence, I just called the dealer and they advised that they had not heard of this issue.
This ONLY happens with remote start.
I have tried resetting the position 1 & 2 memories and remote transmitters, but no change. I will have the dealer look at this at some point.

The only other issues I've had is one occurrence where I could not change SXM channels from the touch screen and the steering wheel. I stopped the car, turned off the engine, locked the car, then unlocked and restarted and all normal. Again, only one time.

The other issue which happened yesterday for the first time; I selected Media to listen to music on my iPhone and it displayed iPhone Unknown. I went into settings, selected my wife's phone, then back to mine and all normal.

Other than these issues, I could not be more impressed or happy with this purchase thus far.

I have same issue behavior as you regarding the remote start.

Kori,
Any updates on this issue from Chrysler? I just noticed this as well on our brand new touring L plus. The drivers side was changed to low and I think auto was also turned off. It's a pain to fix the settings.
