Hello all,

Unfortunately a full cup of coffee was spilled onto the dashboard of our pacifica dashboard. Any advice or tutorials on openingup the dashboard and cleaning things out. The middle dashboard speakers sounds muffled and I am afraid of any electronic consequences.

Thank you in advance.

The panel close to the windshield with the speaker grills pops off pretty easily. You can take a fiberglass/plastic panel tool and pry up starting from the center speaker working your way across in both directions. That should allow you to check the speaker for damage.

instrument panel cover https://ufile.io/rl0n0f36
instrument panel with HVAC https://ufile.io/tyfakmgw
instrument panel without hvac https://ufile.io/y1kstqvu
defrost grill https://ufile.io/iduj6aic

Those are available for 30 days... FWIW it took the dealership 2 weeks to do it and they are supposed to be pros - honestly i think they blew the airbags too but i cant prove it. They replaced the cover because it was bubbling up, had they told me they would take out the whole dash to replace it i wouldve just popped the bubble and squirt some glue in with a needle.

I noticed the other day, too, that there is a bubble in our dashboard. The bubble seems more prominent on warm days. When it's cold you can barely see it. I've been thinking about whether to take it in and get it fixed. How bad was your bubbling? What makes you think they blew the airbags?

It was getting about 2 dollar bills worth of space - like I said, if I had known I would've just popped it with a needle and shot some epoxy into it. It was at the dealership for two weeks and then shortly after I had the front windows tinted to match the rest and the guy(independent window tinter)was tinting it at the dealership and was telling me the mechanic bay we were in was fired because he blew another set of airbags. I just put two and two together. I hate to think that my entire system was removed and replaced and now more susceptible to problems down the road but luckily we have the lifetime warranty so it settle my nerves a little but still keep my eyes, nose, and ears open for noises and leaks.
