Yes, I have a significant rattle in the sunroof area. I have had it into the dealer 3 times. They lubricated everything and nothing has helped. Seems to be a problem when the car is parked in the sun (above 75 degrees) and then I drive it. It isn't as much a problem when driving on the freeway since the wind over the roof area helps.

Had the service department look into the noise. Service manager mentioned that Chrysler's database had a step by step fix for the technician to follow. 2 days of driving with no thud/rattle! Bring it in to have it fixed!

Had to revive an old thread, has anyone got a Tsb or something for this? Our dealer is clueless on a fix.

I wish i had seen this thread prior; I had this problem for the past several months and it was fixed a couple weeks ago during a visit to the dealer. As mentioned, it only happened after the vehicle had sat under the heat for >5 minutes and the rattle would drive me up the wall.

The dealer sourced the rattle to the sunroof area as well and put in some deadening material to prevent the rattle from coming back.

So far, so good. Crossing my fingers it doesn't come back...

Dealer had car for a month to do this fix and others and the problem is still there. Chrysler’s fix did not work for our Pacifica.

Yes a case was opened and there are still numerous problems with the vehicle that are not fixed. One of which is the dash bubble issue that I have not heard an update on. It’s been out of service for over 30 days so we are seeking a buyback or replacement. Can you direct me to the correct department @Chrysler to get this process started?

I had it at the dealer but decided to fix it my self. They were unsuccessful at finding the route cause and I didnt want the entire headliner changed which could cause more problems down the road (which is what they wanted to try next). I finally found my solution which was hard to find because the sound was coming from the left side (so I thought) but the fix was up front. I put foam between the white plastic and black plastic at the front. I stuck my head into the open sunroof and looking down at the front you can see two points where the white frame plastic rubs against the black plastic and I pushed some thin foam in between. It worked for me. I cant tell you if this redused the pressure and caused the sound to stop at the side or if the sound was coming from the front and reflecting off the glass confusing where it originated from but I dont care as long as its gone.

FYI
I took the overhead unit out to look for power for a car cam (two 8mm bolts over the conversation mirror) and you can see the foam and how it is being pinched instead of letting the two different plastics rub. I am now wondering if there are other places in the van where the subtle noises can be eliminated with foam and how hard it will be to get to them.

I have the 3rd row sunroof rattle...sounds like metal-on-metal scraping/squeaking. How do you access the bolts to apply nylon washers? Do you have to remove the whole headliner?

Yes! Bought my 2017 Limited used at the end of April 2019. It spent the first 9 out of 10 weeks in the shop with multiple issues. By the time I got it back, it was hot in GA and the freaking sunroofs rattle HORRIBLY after sitting the heat. I so regret my decision on this vehicle. Stop all the bells & whistles & fix the basics, Chrysler!
