Rooftop Tent

Had a chance to try out a rooftop tent for the first time on our Pacifica. If it wasn’t for my 4 year old crying in the middle of the night, I would have declared it a complete success 😜. DIY crossbars held up well and the mpg didn’t degrade too much during the road trip.

I guess that helps prevent bears and other critters from bothering you, eh?

Yep you got that right!
You made me think of something that owners may know. What can you run while charging? While on accessory, and already has a half of a charge. Could you run the fan and heater and maintain temperature (No expectation of increasing the battery level.) while plugged into 110?

That also makes me wonder. Are there charge cable adapters that can allow you to plug into free 220 at a campsites? The level two cable can be transported and you don't need to pull up to a charging station in a parking lot or your own garage? This might be more for the Wrangler 4Xe owners.

I’ll defer to other owners on your question since my Pacifica is AWD (gas only) version and not a hybrid. I personally use rechargeable batteries to stay comfortable and it’s been great so far!
