We seem to be getting conflicting information on this. Here are just a few of the latest:
On 2/6 gopats=5 said "Yes, sales guy looked up on his side and reduced 1000 from his offer price"
On 2/12 oma said "Sams is not towards hybrid, I tried it yesterday and was told no by dealer, called Sams and they stated hybrid is not included."
On 2/13 mcfiddish said "I joined Sam's just for the certificate! The dealer told me the hybrid is explicitly not included."
On 2/16 covphev said "dealers in Southern CT...said they would accept the coupon from Sam's Club."
So it is not universally being accepted. Of course, there are lots of possibilities.
- Some dealers could be "accepting" the coupon not because they know it's good, but because they are willing to sell the vehicle for $1,000 less.
- Some dealers could simply be refusing to accept the coupon without even checking.
- Perhaps the coupon is only good in selected areas, although this seems unlikely.
Based on previous experience when I was a Sam's Club member, I'm not even sure a call to Sam's Club is definitive.
As I'm no longer a member and would have to pay to join Sam's Club (and I'm sure others are in this boat), it would really be nice to have a definitive answer.
