Hiyas,

I bought my new 2018 PacHy Limited and love it. I put 12,000+ miles on it in the first three months with no bugs or troubles at all.

Two weeks ago the dealership installed the software update for the backup camera recall. Since then I have had several different screens "freeze up" in what is not 8 instances (that I noticed) over 15 days.

When the system "freezes up" it usually impacts several (but not all) screens. The Nav system is almost compromised. I've tried a wide variety of ways to do a soft reboot or a hard reboot to see whether I can clear it from the frozen state. None have worked. I have never been able to get the system to clear up but when left overnight, it is always find the next morning. (That said, the widely varying instructions for doing a"reboot" have probably never actually caused a reboot. I've tried instructions from here, from a dealership, and from the UConnect support line. I've never seen any evidence that I successfully triggered a reboot.)

Anybody else seeing new software issues pop up after getting the recall software update?

That sounds frustrating, chuckers. Have you had the chance to bring your Pacifica back to the dealer for additional diagnosis? If not, we do recommend revisiting at your earliest convenience. If you have any questions, please send us a private message.

Hiya Kate,

Thank you for the fast reply. To be honest, I posted this more to make sure that you aware than to survey other owners!

Yes, I did bring it back to a dealership. I was no longer in the same town so I brought it to a different dealer. The (second) dealer said that it was running the latest software version(s), then stuck in a diagnostic pod and said there were no issues showing up in the diagnostic scan.

But in defense of that dealership, the"freezing up" behavior is intermittent and the car was NOT in a frozen state when I got to the dealership. I am still watching for a "freeze up" session to occur close to home so I can immediately make an ad hoc stop at the original dealer (who did the update) WHILE it is still in that state.

Meanwhile I am also still seeking instructions on how to execute any sort of reboot. (Ideally, I'd like a way to simply "reset" the software without losing all the user settings (like user selected default settings, favorites, saved trips, speed dial numbers, etc.). To be a little more clear I have found plenty of INSTRUCTIONS (most of which are conflicting) but none I have tried actually DO a reset or reboot.

Thank you! Chuck

I just had this problem and the solution is to simply reboot the system by holding down the volume and tune knobs for about 10 seconds, and the Chrysler logo should appear and the system should be running again. Hope this helps!
