OK so my first "problem" is the remote control pocket on the back of the passenger seat has become unstitched at one corner. The other seat seems to be reinforced properly, but I think the little pocket is a bit too tight as it is. Will be taking it into service to see what can be done. This happened around 800 miles.
Now the second one is my fault, but I was exiting a small corner gas station with an abysmal curb/sidewalk situation, and as I pulled forward awaiting my left turn, I ran over a small corner of the sidewalk where it meets the cement transition between the road asphalt and the station asphalt.
So I'm like ? but I figure if the front wheel just did a little ba-bump on the curb, I'll pull out really slowly to let the back wheel over. Well, no dice. As I pull out I hear KKKKKKKRRRRRRRKKKKKK - and I stop. OMG I think I bottomed out on the curb. I go look and the side is not touching so I guess something underneath is hitting. I get back in and gently wiggle back to the position I left at the pump, then parked to look. A soft fiberglass/felt deflector panel is pulled away, ripped from its bolt and washer. I guess the angle I was leaving caused that area to catch more curb than the front once the front wheel settled into the gutter.
Not that I make a habit of driving over curbs, but I have gone two wheels up when letting fd through in my t&c and never had any issues scraping the bottom. I have a rough gravel driveway and now I fear any rift of gravel or a tree root is going to tear that thing away again. I will find out next week if it can be resecured or fully replaced. 5 years of the last van and no incidents. 1 month with this one ???
