Hello,

Not sure if this is normal, but whenever I start my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L, there is a siren like noise that happens once all the warning lights on the dash appear. None of the lights stay. Is this a siren to press "accept" on the UConnect Disclaimer? Is this normal? Can I disable this?

Thanks for the help!

Just bought the 2020 Pacifica Hybrid and it does the same thing. Before I even get in, there’s a siren coming from the driver’s side dash area, but no light indicating what it’s for. I’ve tried looking it up, but haven’t found anything.

Any chance you could record this noise and post it here? That might make it easier to help identify the cause.

I managed to record it, but there seems to be no way to attach it here. It’s an actual alarm sound (hi-low) that lasts for 4-5 seconds and emanates from below the dash on the driver’s side. I called the dealer today and they’re not familiar with it. It only seems to happen after the vehicle has been sitting for a few minutes.

Then set up a youtube account and attach it.

Being a former Chrysler Technician, I would have to say that I have never heard this sound in a Chrysler before. What is the history of your van? Bought new or used? Did you have an aftermarket alarm installed? It sounds aftermarket to me.

I bought it brand new last Saturday. Still had the markings on the windows. Definitely not after market.
Well, in that case, I would bring it back to the dealer. I suspect that the dealer (as most dealers do) installed a aftermarket alarm to help stop cars from being stolen (and able to be tracked via GPS) from their lot and maybe forgot to remove or disable it after delivery to you. My former Dealer did this but gave the customer the option to buy the alarm. If the customer didn't want it, they would just remove it from the car. This is also true if the dealer got the car from another dealer. If you custom ordered this van from the factory (your name is on the window sticker) then the dealer wouldn't bother putting one on unless you asked for one.
If I were you I would contact your salesman or the new car sales manager and tell them your problem. Ask if this is what they do (every dealer is different). If they deny this, my next step is to contact the service department and schedule and appointment to drop off the car. It being a 2020, new stuff is changed or added all the time (even mid year of production) so there is a small possiblity this is new feature of brand new cars that Technicians are not aware of yet. Make sure you play the noise for them so they know what to listen for. Hope this helps.

They ever say what it is because I just got a 2019 and has 4000 miles on it and it doesn’t when I’m driving sitting still just curious what it is
