I have a Touring model and I have noticed that the Sirius XM service is very spotty. I have never had SXM radio before, so not sure if this is typical, but when driving on open roads the radio will stop playing music, sometimes it's a second or two and sometimes it's minutes. I do get the message that comes up when I am in a parking garage or something along those lines that says, Aquiring Signal which I know is normal. However, no message pops up when I am on the open roads or in my driveway that says anything about signal issues, the radio will just not play the music.

Also, at times, the Bluetooth systems doesn't recognize my phone and I have to go and do the whole reconnect/pairing process again.

It's normal to lose SXM reception when driving next to tall buildings or trees that may block the southern sky, but you shouldn't be losing it for minutes at a time in a wide open space. It's probably worth having the dealer check it out.

Not saying it's normal, but I have another (non-FCA) vehicle that has certain repeatable locations that I drive through daily where it appears there are indeed dead spots while having a clear view of the sky. One of these is even on the top of a freeway overpass. My only 2 guesses are that either a) the high tension power lines nearby are causing enough electrical noise to disrupt the signal or b) I'm just far enough from a nearby town that the radio can't decide whether to use the terrestrial or satellite feeds.. Not sure this is related to the OP's question though.

Hi Jtravis410,

I would recommend visiting your local dealership for further diagnosis regarding your Sirius XM and Bluetooth concerns. Please let me know if you would like assistance setting up an appointment or would like me to follow up with them for you!

I've started having this problem with Sat radio at many traffic lights in my area. It started pretty suddenly and happens on all my vehicles. Very annoying.

radio

Garage is a no no and I really have problems with it as my boy lives in northern wi. and a lot of roads are coverd by trees and it wont come in atall. That is why I never renewed it on the last 2 cars I have owned otherwise I like it real well. Around where I live in southern wisconsin it comes in very good no tall buildings or such. Havent really had any bluetooth problems with my phone just paired it up and it work real good at least I can hear it through the speakers on my 2013 town and country could not use it as I could not hear it very well thru the speakers.

I think its just SiriusXM cutting costs. They had Houston pretty well covered with repeaters and hardly had any dead spots. Now it seems its all over! This is on multiple cars I own, so its not a Chrysler thing.
