Just wanted to circle back around on this thread. We had our 2017 in the shop this week deal with the grinding rear passenger slider door as well as the random door reverse when closing issue. The dealer ended up replacing the roller on the door which seems to has helped the grinding noise, but just today, the door reversing itself right before latching closed still is happening. My wife said it happened four times in a row this morning. Before I take it back to the dealer again, just curious if anyone has had this resolved and what the fix was so I can reference. Attached is the video of what it does (before the grinding noise was fixed) in case my explanation doesn't make sense.

They initially replaced latch but later learned there was software update to fix this door issue.

Hello ammiller82,

We're sorry to hear you're continuing to have a hard time with this. Send us a direct message with your VIN as we'd be glad to get this over to a Case Specialist who can work with the dealer toward a solution.

I'm glad I'm not alone!! Having major issues with my drivers side sliding door constantly re-opening while trying to latch. Has anyone got a resolution? Really would like to avoid the high diagnostic charge just to once again hear they are unable to do anything!

Hello pattersonkaroline,

We're sorry to hear you're having such a tough time with your sliding doors. I understand your hesitancy because of the fee but if you end up going, please let us know. We'd be glad to get this over to a Case Specialist for further handling.

Bought mine second hand from a guy and noticed the sliding door issue when test driving. Guy took it to the dealer before we closed the deal and they applied a TSB (calibration of some sort?) and haven't had the same issue since. However, does anyone else notice the sliding doors not closing completely tight? I can see a very slight gap and when I'm sitting in the car with everything off I can hear traffic noise relatively loud from the gap. Didn't notice it when test driving the car (would be crazy to check that kind of detail?) So not sure if the recalibration caused the gap.

Happens all the time. Sometimes it takes 5 or 6 times to stay closed.
