The Pacifica is possibly going to be my families first minivan. With that I am used to the 2nd row seats (back seats for non minivan owners) in cars and SUVs to go all the way to the floor so items placed behind them do not slide UNDERNEATH them. But in the Pacifica when the 3rd row is stowed there is an obvious forward angle to the floor and I am concerned with items sliding under the 2nd row seats and even the first row seats. We have small kids and they carry around toys and balls etc.

How do current owners or past minivan owners combat this?

That's actually a really good question/concern. I remember cleaning out prior vans and it's like a whole new world under those seats eventually.
