I thought I’ll never see the update screen!
But a few days ago the Uconnect system got an over the air update!
Sadly it wouldn’t tell me what’s new. Does anyone know?

Hi there, Vicenac

If you can clarify your model year or the current software version after the update, we're happy to search for a bulletin that shares more details on the update.

I think for you 39.5 is the next then 40.1<- chrysler claims neither of those can be done OTA and refuse to provide them via link or anything. Dealer only supposedly.. Though people who ordered map updates did receive it.

Hi dmj,

We can help search if there's a bulletin on the update you received. Feel free to PM us your VIN so we can check from there.

We got the same update.

Maybe it's placebo, but it seems the Android Auto "Device Not Supported." error of death seems to be better.

I've gotten the error a few times now, and before the update the error would mean no devices could be plugged in until the car went to a full sleep and powered off the entertainment system.

Now after the update, I plugged in the Android device and after getting the "Device Not Supported" error I left the Android device plugged in and it still connected and started Android Auto after a brief period (like whatever broke restarted itself).

You are not current, you are running JR-34.4.0.

I input your info here:

2022 Map Update for Uconnect® 4C NAV w/ 8.4" touch-screen (v3 ASO): For U.S. Only | HERE (navigation.com)

and it states:

"
NOTES
1) You will receive 1 Software Update with your Map Update Package. The Software Update must be installed prior to the Map Update. The Software USB will come in a very small cardboard box and have the letters 'QR' on it.

2) This map update is only compatible with U.S. Vehicles with 4C NAV with 8.4" touch-screen that has Application Versions IR-22.64+, MR-28.3+, JR or QR
"

Your system should be on something like QR-40.1.****.

That's correct. I believe that, at the moment, the later update(s) are only available with a map update...which I won't be buying anytime soon.

Would be cheaper to buy the map vs the dealer if out of warranty if it is something you really want to be updated.
I wouldn't have cared if it hadn't shown up on my dash as a pending OTA update. I still have no idea what's in it...or any other updates... But if that info becomes available, and a later update has something I want, and I'm out of warranty, then maybe I'd consider buying a map update.

For those who might be interested, I got the following reply from Chrysler Cares concerning my update to 34.4:

Based on your VIN, the over-the-air update to the 34.4 level addressed customers who may experience Wi-fi failure messages or the following here:

What version did it take your van to? You're super lucky to get these..

You know, I went to look, but all I could find was a warning saying that I am not allowed to reverse engineer the software. I must have forgotten where to look. A little help please! Where do I look?
