I can't find Accell or MSD coils for our vans (unless my google-Fu failed me), so here are my choices.

Coils:
Bosch: $23
Standard $25
NGK $61

For plugs there is:
Bosch Double Iridium $8
NGK Laser Iridium $7

Recommendations?

 

NGK Iridium (NGK 7751), Mopars are notorious for issues with Bosch ignition parts.

Upgrade to Ripp 2016+ Grand Cherokee & Durango 3.6L High Performance Coil Packs or NGK for coils. The factory coils are notoriously weak, Bosch and Standard are cheap for a reason.

Are the Bosch coils that bad? Not arguing, it's just the NGK and Ripp are more than double the price. Ordering the NGK plugs today though.

Whichever I go with, I think I'll leave the one Duralast coil in that I just bought (don't want to throw away $50). From what I've read, that shouldn't cause any issues as long as all the plugs are the same brand.

 

Honest answer, you couldn't pay me to put a Duralast coil in my lawnmower let alone trust one in my van. There's a reason coils should all be changed together, same reason all 6 plugs should be done together.

 

I'm glad my 2017 doesn't have the second battery. Seems like just another problem and expense down the road.
