Today the Super Console in my Limited Chrysler Pacifica was replaced under warranty. We purchased this unit in August. We have driven over 31K wonderful miles in it without any interior issues until now.
The super console is nice, but it does lack a deep storage compartment for front occupants and is a one piece unit - meaning, if anything breaks on it, the entire super console must be replaced. The super console had a failing sliding drawer cup holder unit. It would not latch on the track in the cup only position for rear passengers. As a result, you could see anything stored in the tunnel compartment and the cups would tend to flip out of the cup holder when driving. (perhaps I should slow it down a little, hahahaha)
The replacement super console works as designed, but leaves me wondering why the engineers designed such a small catch mechanism for the sliding drawer cup holder.
Owners take note, and check it periodically for a possible defect. Hopefully this is an isolated problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
