I purchased my Limited quite a while ago. About a week or 2 after having it and hardly driving it I found a small tear in the back of the rear seat. It was not something we noticed upon purchasing it, but was clearly there as I hadn't even used the area behind the seats. I contacted my dealer who said that they could look at it. The dealer is far from me and it would be a burden to take it there instead of my local dealer, which is next door to my wife's work. The local dealer told me that it would not be a defect and that I really needed to go back to where I bought it. After dropping 50k I would hope that the dealers could work together to get it taken care of. Any suggestions?

you can go to any service department. However, the "urgency" in fixing your problem maybe limited with your local dealer as they will most likely work on cars that were bought from them first, and then yours. My dealer actually explained that to me.

There is other people on these forums reporting tears in the leather, Chrysler needs to address this and stop using such thin leather

What I was told previously is that my local dealer would likely say that it is not their responsibility and that I could pay to have it repaired...
If you have constraints from a local FCA dealer, let @ChryslerCares know about it. You CAN take your car to any FCA service dealer.
