The Chrysler Pacifica was recently given a first drive review by Car&Driver. here I have cut and pasted a few quotes, and you can read the full review by clicking on the link at the beginning of this post.
"To stave off the moment the minivan stigma kicks in, Chrysler overdosed on styling flourish. The excess mostly works, and the Pacifica is one of the best-looking can bodies ever plopped atop four wheels. Building on current Chrysler styling themes, it's heavily sculpted, with character lines that swoop, soar, and droop with the reckless abandon of a 10-year-old using a French-curve tool for the first time. Despite the riot of lines, it's particularly good in profile with the tail tapering back to a rear window that stimulates a wraparound effect. It's Gauguin to the old T&C's Bauhaus."
"Quick is a relative term, but the Pacifica seems likely to be the hot rod of its class. The last Honda Odyssey that Car and Driver tested waltzed from zero to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds. The Pacifica, with a bit more power, is likely to better that by three or four tenths."
