Hello Pacifica owners, I have had my Pacifica for three months and have almost 4000 miles. One way to hit some great mileage is to use cruise control when on the highway. I don't have adaptive cruise control but regular cruise and have achieved 29 mpg with 85 % highway. I love it especially since the controls are on the right side of steering wheel. Can't wait to do a long trip to see if I can beat that figure. That nine speed helps to achieve this.

What highway speed do you drive and if you have an RPM at that speed would be helpful. I also get good mileage using cruise control.
I've noticed that if I drive 70mph with the cruise control on a straight level freeway. The car will not maintain 8th gear (1600rpm) very long. It keeps dropping back down into 7th gear (1900rpm) and staying there. However, on the same straight level freeway if I drive without the cruise control on I can maintain 70mph in 8th gear with no problems. Do you guys notice this with your cruise control? I don't have ACC so it's the regular cruise control.

Just curious if you have the cruise control when you are running that speed in 8th gear? If so, when transmission kicks down to say go over a overpass or a hill does it shift back up into 8th gear?
