We are currently looking at getting the Touring L Plus. This is the one they have on the lot and the initial price he said, without us talking further and negotiating. At this point, he still doesnt know if we are sold on the Pacifica. Now that I have read these threads, my head is spinning! So much advice and confusing information!

Touring L+ base price: $37,895
8th Seat- $485
U Connect Nav System- $695

MSRP: $40.080
Rebates/Incentives: $6500
Sale Price: $33,580 plus ttl

What would be a good price to shoot for?

Looks like they are giving you full rebates/incentives plus dealer cost. Ask them to start at Dealer's cost and then see what they say.

Here is my build with the build sheet. The Touring L Plus. Also, that thread has my detailed encounters. Sounds like you are buying one from the lot? If so, you should be able to beat my price (sans the options I added) due to it being a lot inventory item. After 60 days, they make great discounts to move the product.

For example, my local dealer has some Touring L Plus trims with just Nav. that they recently sold. Advertised price was 30,000 and some change (in the hundreds). They were there from about November.

Looking at the dealer site that we purchased from, looks like you could potentially expect about 9000 off MSRP sticker, plus the 1000 Sams club discount. Then add ttl.

So somewhere around 30000 with the sams would be a good rough target plus ttl. Probably varies by geography, but this gives you a general ballpark.

For example, our touring l plus was about 44000 Msrp sticker and we paid about 34000. Then added ttl and the lifetime warranty (which was completely optional and not pending on the deal). This included the 1000 sams discount, but no other fancy discounts like loyalty, military, etc.

Hope your vehicle works out well. Our family is loving our experience thus far. Great ride and entertainment.

Sounds similar to my deal on my Touring-L Plus with Nav, Spare Tire, Hands-free doors, and wireless charging. MSRP was about $41,000 and sold for $33,500. This was in the DFW Texas area. Looks like March may have come with more incentives.

Where are my manners?! Welcome to this rad forum! I learned a lot from these guys (and gals) here. I think the Touring L Plus is the smart buy of all the trims.

Mine was $43690 MSRP. OTD $35800 include TTL.

Like many here dealer actually told me to use Sam Club rebate on top of $2000 incentive. Dealer will say it's not possible to get this price just hang in there.

Tour-L Plus with spare tire,Advance saftytec,Wireless charging pad,Handsfree entry. Keysense. Navigation. 8th seat.

Try to focus on OTD price and low interest. Then have them break it down for you. Refuse all dealer install sales with the exception of Oil change Care package. Mine was $1230 for 60 months include all recommend oils change and minor/major tune up. Rental when car in service included.

Make sure you know your credit scores or even better your own best finance in hand and ask them to beat.it.

Know what incentive you qualify for. Many don't qualify for more than $2000 off.

Check truecar.com and see what Amex $500 is all about.
I only found out after I purchased the car, might have saves additional $500.

Also buyer remorse here...But if 4 or $5k is not too much for you, you might want to get Limited trim instead, you will be getting a lot for this premiums such as:

Full moon roof, side mirror chromed and turning signal, auto tilt reverse side mirror, Daytime running light with LED strip instead of Hologen, Nappa interior leather, power 3rd row, power head rest down, bigger wheels, ventilated seats heat/cool. Optional Vacuum.

Good luck!

Greetings,

I have lurked on this forum for a week or two, and I must say it's been an incredible resource in our car search. My family is close to choosing Pacifica, Touring L Plus Trim. We have a deal put together by the dealer, and I'd love some confirmation that it's resonable...i.e. that we aren't leaving tons of money on the negotiating table.

The car is specced below:

Pacifica Touring L Plus

Color: Black Crystal Pearl Coat

Options:

Hands Free Sliding Door and Liftgate
Tire and Wheel Group
Trailer Tow Group
Advanced SafetyTec Group
Uconnect 8.4NAV
Inflatable Spare Tire Kit with Sealant
8 Passenger Seating

MSRP: $45,580

Dealer Offer: $36,750 before tax, title, and tags. Have to use Chrysler Capital for some period to earn $500 of the rebate, but we will pay it off as soon as is decent (after 3-4 months).

I called tonight and asked if the Sam's Club Discount could also be applied (need to renew membership(!!!)), dealer said yes, so subtract another $500.

Final Price before tags, title, and tax: $36,250.

I have tried to ascertain if this is a good deal for the DC/NoVA/MD area, but every situation seems a bit different, so I figured I'd ask you all as well. Any insight you can give would be appreciated.

Sounds like a fair price. Just also confirm that the documentation fees and extras are within means too. Some dealers like to pull fast ones at closing with gimmicks (nitrogen air, hefty documentation fees, undercoat, theft system, etc). Find out about these details prior to commitment if possible, otherwise your family might get past the point of no return and give in to the shady tactics in the moment.
Hope all works out well for you. We have nearly the same config and it is a fun van!

I really appreciate that feedback. I have an offer sheet in front of me (dealership is significantly less than competition, but has good reviews and seem honest).

Fees are as follows:

Documentary Fees: $300
License and Tag Fees: $351
Taxes (FWIW): $2,489.94

That seems to be in line with a Honda dealership we visited when discussing the '18 Odyssey (dealer wanted MSRP given the car is just on the market O.O) so I assume that we are not being robbed.

All sounds pretty fair thus far. Pull the trigger and enjoy!!

As an epilogue, we ended up getting the Touring L Plus! We were able to squeeze a tiny bit more out of the deal, see below:

Color: Black Crystal Pearl Coat

Options:

Hands Free Sliding Door and Liftgate
Tire and Wheel Group
Trailer Tow Group
Advanced SafetyTec Group
Uconnect 8.4NAV
Inflatable Spare Tire Kit with Sealant
8 Passenger Seating

MSRP: $45,580

Cost after Rebate: $36,250 + Tags, Title, and Tax
They included a $199 charge for wheel locks and pinstripe. I asked that it be removed, and they agreed. Then they left the wheel locks (plus a spare set) on/in the car along with the pinstripe. Free aftermarket accessories, I guess?

We had to finance $20k through Chrysler Capital to earn $500 of the rebate. I plan to pay almost all of that off in the first month and then pay the rest off for the last three so the dealer keeps their incentive. Annoying, but not too damaging.

We've had the car for a few days, but it's a lot of fun so far. I ordered some splash guards and all-weather mats. Looking forward to a long life with the vehicle.

That's awesome! What dealer?
