Searched out and found our dream van the 2020 Brilliant Black Red S. Edition. I have had it about a month and am off and running on adding my personality to it! Will post some pics here.
Day 1
Dice caps are on!
Pentastar Emblem added as a nod to the 70's Chryslers. Used the modern scaled up measurements to modern Dodge Challenger and placed it 8 1/8" up from rocker seam.....for now...
Stick on style curb protectors added. These are a nice product if you get the good ones. Though they follow the rim line and waiver a bit because each rim recesses a bit. The backing was 3M VHB which proved to be a real pain to get off a few weeks later. No way these things were flying off atleast for a few more months.
Relocated Pentastar Medallion to follow body line. it now appears as if the body line terminates into a star which felt and looked more appropriate. That was my problem the first time, I should have just slapped it up there without measuring as I probably would have arrived at this placement which I feel is the best.
I decided on a more professional rim guard with some nice style and went with Alloygators. They recommend proffessional install but I managed with a rubber mallet and watched a YouTube vid and then winged it haha. I am also test fitting tire letters here. I was never a huge fan of stick on letters but after exhaustive searches for white letter tires this ended up being my best option.
Double tire letters and AlloyGators mid install. This project took most of this Sat and Sun. It's about 3+ hours a tire to do all this and clean up the rotors too.
Wheel project done!....for now. May paint calipers in the future but for now I am done with this area. Looks like a racer, Mom gonna be sporty now!
